Wanderlei avoids a single drug test, gets hit with a lifetime ban by the comission, then is immediately crucified by almost everyone on here.

Nick Diaz test positive for a banned substance (doesn't matter how stupid you think it is for pot to be banned, so is asprin) for the third time, gets a 5 year suspension, and everyone and their mother is white knighting him.

How is it that a multi time offender is getting so much backing while a true legend of the sport was vilified and everyone is perfectly fine with him having his right to fight taken away for life.

Wand was way better to the fans and for the sport in general than Nick but Diaz drops F bombs and talks shit in the cage.

I don't know this 100%, but if UFC let's these guys go, one would assume they can continue with MMA in Brazil and Japan, or even Russia. UFC is just as responsible.

I don't know why Wand* doesn't join that class action suit. He has a pretty good case and it shows the detriment on the fighter and how the UFC can control them.

That is correct. The only reason why Wand is not able to fight outside of the U.S. is because he is still under contract with the UFC.

Yeah, he was obviously on roids back then. But, a lot of the other guys in Pride were probably on it too. Cro Cop's immediate decline when he came to the UFC was a little suspicious. Also, Rampage was just as jacked as Wand was when they fought in Pride.

This is the truth. Why in the hell wouldn't the UFC release their contracts. They are dooming these people. Sure, they have money now, but in 10 years they will be poor old people with brain damage that once were champs. They will be in fucking documentaries living in Cuba in a hut or some shit, mumbling about their fights.

As if Wand signing with OneFC or whatever would change the landscape of MMA.....

Yes, I mean rules or not it is pretty lame to ban someone for five years for weed. It would have been more appropriate for the commission to say, "OK you asshole! We're suspending you for 1-2 years. Don't do it again." But to pretty much end his career that is harsh. Especially when you have guys doing cocaine and real PEDs and getting one year.

I'm all for zero tolerance for PEDs but weed is a bit different. Especially out of competition.
