What do you want for Women's FW Division?

I don't know and I am not by any means trying to claim there is a lot of talent, but there are other orgs with 145 and even 155 women's divisions.

Rizin, Invicta, Bellator & PFL all have women's 145.

If they recruited 2 girls from each they could have at least had a top ten ranking list and treated it like an actual division.

Having rankings or a tournament would have spiced things up and made it a little interesting.
Tournament is my preferred way of making it relevant if they keep the division but UFC doesn't do cool shit like that. But it would draw eyes if they put the promotion machine behind it.

They should develop it...

I mean it cant really be that hard can it? ...

DWCS a few 145er woman...run a TUF season just the FW women... And a mens ..coed that shit..

There has to be some bigger woman out there willing to strap up some MMA gloves they just need an avenue to come over... Theres some strong judo players near that weight in the Olympics..i think they got a 145 pound boxing too in the Olympics...

Theres got to be someone ... somewhere

This is the better idea sir.
There's a million ways to do it (as you've stated), so it's pretty clear that they should do it...but will they?

Harrison should be allowed to be challenged. I think she beats Holly at this point, although her stand up isn't great, I think she has a killer instinct.

What do we know though... we're just fans and all lol.

UFC will never do a tournament again unfortunately.

But you're definitely right.

Tournaments are possibly the only thing the MMA fanbase has ever come close to agreeing on and yet for some reason the UFC refuses to do them.

The few times they have done them, the fans love it too... Makes no sense why they don't incorporate it from time to time when it makes sense. (Vacant belts, new divisions etc)

Well women's boxing is a horrible base as Clarissa has shown us. And ammy women's boxing is the lowest talent pool.
But yeah if the ufc or someone was actively recruiting bigger Olympic athletes it be easy and stacked with Judo, wrestling, rugby, tkd, and karate could yeld a good crop of them all have 67kg and/or bigger classes.
the lack of development income and fear getting punched in the face are big deterrents.

All are welcome...for real...

Bring em all let em try..

I think WMMA pays pretty good compared to other woman combat sports..but i could be wrong

They should definitely develop if they going to keep WMMA. It is clear women who are "bigger" can generate more interest in the sport. Nunes, cyborg, Kayla. All them because they have more power than 5'2 super skinny women.

I think if the UFC was serious about it that it could quickly become the most popular WMMA division.

Either develop it into a real division, or end it.

Right now it's not even a division. The belt is meaningless.

You keep these good comments up and I'm gonna vote you poster of the year by February sir lol.

5'2 super skinny women would be Atomweight.

Why do you think they haven't developed it yet though sir?
I have no idea. There's not much talent in the division. Bellator, PFL and Invicta has it all.

I think it's just not a priority.

Having Harrison willing to fight there, and Amanda being the champ...you definitely have a foundation for a decent division.

No?

Yeah i think it could definitely be more intriguing division because of the power...its super raw talent wise now ofcourse...but i think with real effort it could be an exciting functional division

There are plenty of straw and feather weights who are 5'2 or less. Obviously you can argue what is super skinny but I think in general they are cutting to below healthy weights to get advantages similar to men.

They already did this. All the women from that show that got signed are fighting at 135 now.

Not really. Jessica Andrade is 5'2, and she's jacked. Strawweight and Flyweight are normal sized women who cut a bit of weight.
