i read every post you make in Paulie Gualtieri's voice because of your avatar and it makes everything so much funnier.
"ah fongool, just trow em in da openweight division. let 'em ladies smack each other around, eh?"
Tony Cicero was the man

lmfao now I'm genuinely thinking about starting to write in his voice because of that <45>

Ever since the Ronda fight I’ve really been disappointed with her gameplan many times.

But she’s been with Wink from day one. 16 World Boxing titles, or something like that. And a UFC World title. So it’s pretty hard to argue with that kind of success. And I’ve never been sure exactly who is more responsible for what I think is too passive of a gameplan. Is it her or him, or both? Idk

Doesn’t really look like she trains really seriously anymore. For quite a few years her SM seems to be more about dancing, and wearing tiny shorts. At least with the stuff people post in here. I don’t see much mma training.

I was really surprised with the loss the other night. I thought she had a good chance of getting the belt back. And still might if 145 stays in play. But I just don’t know her commitment level anymore. I only know what we see in here. And then actual fights.

Man, that gym has just completely fallen off the map it seems. They used to have all kinds of elite fighters. But I can only think of about 5 fighters from that gym fighting in the UFC right now off of the top of my head.

Have to wait and see what happens with 145, I guess. With Amanda retired these girls should be demanding fights at 145. It’s always been a much easier path to a TS than BW.

She's actually never been the most technical boxer. She just has always had very good footwork and she is always in incredible shape. She never evolved as a striker at all.

I had this idea in my head that her MMA training ruined her boxing and she actually always did the same, move move blitz thing in boxing too. The only thing better then was she threw combos inside. Now she just ties up and pushes to the fence. Woman's boxing was just junk back then.

Holly will always have her Rousey highlight and Aldana win. Both big moments for her. She looked so good vs. Aldana that I thought she would be able to get the title back. Then she went right back to looking terrible with her clinch and push to the fence style.

She also looks terrified to fight btw...

If she really wants to still fight, which she could because her conditioning, then she needs to change camps. It's long past time. That side kicking shit lol Where would these guys be anymore without Jon?

Analyzing the fighting skills of a 40 year old woman. Now I've seen everything.

Hard to teach an old dog new tricks. I’d like her to retire from mma and have a couple Kick boxing matches. Then call it a career. I’m sure she can be a coach with Jackson. She has been there for what like 20 something years now?

That is what gets me though. She has terrible fundamentals. Even her stance is terrible. People talk about her footwork but she has either side-to-side shuffle which she does not do quickly any more and otherwise she is on train tracks. She starts punching from kicking range rendering her jab into a throw-away technique as she runs in spamming punches, and her hips are fairly square with too much weight on her front foot. So she has to turn a bit more than necessary to shuffle-side kick which is why it misses so often and her stance is why she only has power on her left round kick.

Her striking percentage is terrible, she gets by on her strengths as an athlete, not technical merit.

Not exactly coaching material but can probably make money on name recognition, which, well, does not bode well for anyone she coaches.
