Here's my biggest grape with the ufc

The UFC needs to put on fewer more stacked cards. In the golden years of MMA there was only about one per month. Everyone would be so excited. Fewer stacked cards is the way to go unless you’re a greedy fuck who wants to water down the sport with 4 cards a month.

What about people who just like watching mma?

I wish they would chill the f out on the "superfights" and interim title fights just to fill the top of a card.

Adesanya vs Jan was super unnecessary, and they've done a few of those fights lately. It hurt both their images imo and decreased their stock. Nothing major, im sure, but none the less.

My biggest grape of all though is that they insist on having main events as title fights no matter what. Even if it means stripping rightful champions like Ngannou so we can see Lewis vs Gane for the belt. Is that really increasing their number on PPV? We couldn't have just had Gane vs Lewis for #1 contender? Really?

They usually aren't the one's pushing for "superfights", its the fighters. Izzy thing I think was on both sides. But I think the UFC wished he won. It would've made Izzy a bigger star and maybe could of got a fight with Jones done. All making everyone involved more money. Glad it failed and maybe they'll think twice allowing it next time.

Gane vs Lewis BS is the dirty tactics the UFC uses when fighters don't do what they say in the timeframe they want it. I wish managers and fighters in the UFC would just rail road the UFC when they try this BS. Gane and Lewis know full well neither of them should be fighting for a Interim belt. They just know the winner probably has the best shot at the real title next. As hardcore fans we see right through this shit, but blow joe out there could careless. I don't believe the UFC believes they need a title shot at the top of PPV just because it sells better. There is plenty of match ups that would sell no matter what and a belt or two on the line won't change the buy rate. Is there anyone back in the day that won't have watched GSP vs Silva at a 178 catchweight just for the sport of it, no. I highly doubt Gane vs Lewis sold better because of the interim belt. It easily could've been marketed as winner takes on Francis next.

They wanted BB to headline the Houston card, they needed an opponent and Gane had said he was cool with waiting for a TD. Meanwhile BB knew he was in line for a TD with Francis.

Putting an interim title on the line was just a way to get both guys to agree to do the fight.
