Heat (95) is getting a Sequel

You are correct. But with the cast thye have assembled so far they just might be able to pull it off. Looks like Michael Mann swinging for the fences for what could be his swan song.

I AM FUCKING STOKED FOR THIS
So is this a sequel or just a remake?

You got a link to that thread\? I do think the Heat one would be legendary if you decide to do it!
- Is theres some way to search old threadson my own profile?
Just tried to search, but theres only five pages showing

Michael Mann is in his mid 80s.

He hasn't made a great movie, in 20+ years.

Good lord people. Let it die.

Trejo has about as much of a chance of getting up off the floor, and making a masterpiece, as Mann does in current year.

The 1995 classic is still available, you know.

You can just like... Watch that one.

I am walking out in 30 seconds flat if I spot HEAT 2: ELDERLY MAN BEATS DEAD HORSE around the corner

If it ever even actually gets made

Which I hope it doesn't.

Goddamn, good thing the internet & corporate studios didn't exist when Michaelangelo was in his 80s.

"Come on, do another Sistine Chapel, Mike. Do another one. That one was great... Come on. Do it again"

Michael Mann still seems like he has ability. My main worry would be the whole multi-time period thing. Using different actors for different ages is tricky, and using VFX to de-age even trickier.
