The massive search of Enfield and Hertfordshire was sparked after three women were killed in a crossbow attack at their Bushey home on Tuesday night. The victims were named as Carol Hunt, 61, the wife of Sky Sports and BBC racing commentator John Hunt, and two of their daughters, Louise, 25...
I don't mean to be insensitive, but holy crap, three confirmed kills with a crossbow seems like a hell of a feat. I am not a hunter, does this seem hard to do to you guys? Couldn't they run and hide? RIP to the victims, the killer looks like a real poof.
Reports are the victims were restrained before being killed. It's possible he threatend them with the crossbow, tied them up and then shot them. You don't have to be the Deadliest Avenger to hit an immobile target at close range.
There are also reports that weapons other than the crossbow may have been used in the murders.
They aren't/weren't upper class, but the daughters don't look like the children of that couple. It's not make up lol, look at the skin tone, eye/hair colour, hair texture, eyebrows, facial structure etc. Maybe they are/were John's stepdaughters, idk I don't have much time right now.
They have/had British names, but there aren't many ethnically British people left in London now, especially under 40.
The mixed race population is growing fast, which is what the daughters and Kyle look like. We'll see if more info comes out and I'll have a bit of free time later.
Kyle's brother (serving time for murder) is on the right. Probably half Indian or something. Kyle was the ex-boyfriend of Louise Hunt, the one with the black hair. Looks like she just tanned and dyed her hair.
A manhunt is underway in north London for a man suspected of being armed with a crossbow after three women – the wife and two daughters of a BBC journalist – were killed Tuesday evening.
Police said they were searching for a 26-year-old man, named as Kyle Clifford, in connection with the deaths, who could be in the British capital or the neighboring county of Hertfordshire.
Police were called to a house in Bushey, Hertfordshire, on Tuesday evening, where they found three seriously injured women who later died from their wounds.
The victims of the triple murder were identified as the wife, Carol Hunt, and two daughters, of BBC racing commentator John Hunt, the UK’s public broadcaster said on Wednesday. Police said earlier that the deceased, aged 25, 28 and 61, were killed in what is believed to have been a “targeted incident.”
A crossbow is believed to have been used in the triple murder, though police said Wednesday that other weapons may also have been used.
Police have asked the public not to approach the suspect.
British Home Secretary Yvette Cooper has said she is being kept “fully updated” by police on the ongoing manhunt.
“The loss of three women’s lives in Bushey last night is truly shocking. My thoughts are with the family & friends of those who have been killed & with the community,” Cooper wrote on X Wednesday.
“I am being kept fully updated. I urge people to support Hertfordshire Police with any information about this case,” she added.
A neighbor of the victims said she “would see them every day passing by and they would say good morning,” according to PA Media.
“It’s really sad what’s happened, very shocking,” she added.

I'm no crossbow expert BUT they are absolutely deadly man. Very high powered and easy to shoot. The hunting bolts have razor blade arrowheads on them...
My daughter has one, more for kids, but with hunting bolts it could easily kill a human.
The wife and two daughters of the BBC 5 Live racing commentator John Hunt are believed to be the victims of a triple crossbow murder in Hertfordshire, the Telegraph can reveal.
Police and paramedics were called to the Hunt family home in Bushey on Tuesday eveningб following reports that three women had been found with serious injuries.
It is believed Mr Hunt, who is [sic] married with three daughters, had been working for BBC Racing on Tuesday, and may have raised the alarm when he returned home at around 7pm.
Despite the best efforts of paramedics the three women died a short time later at the scene.
Hertfordshire Police have since issued an urgent appeal for 26-year-old Kyle Clifford from the Enfield area, who is wanted in connection with the incident.
Mr Hunt, 58, who is a former police officer, has worked for BBC Radio Five Live for the last 20 years.
Hertfordshire isn't a particularly rich county. It's pretty standard for houses to cost between 500k-1 million on the basis it's a short hop into London.
Looking at the press pictures of the road, the house is fairly bog standard 2 up 2 down. It would cost you half that further north.

Middle class now means nothing in the British context. You can have electricians and plumbers earning £150k+ a year living next door to doctors earning £80k

I think Kyles brother is serving time for murder so obviously a really nice family , if I was a betting man I'd say he went out with one of the girls it went bad and he went all stalky and violent .
Kyle's brother (serving time for murder) is on the right. Probably half Indian or something. Kyle was the ex-boyfriend of Louise Hunt, the one with the black hair. Looks like she just tanned and dyed her hair.
(1) I don't want to get too hung up on the ethnicity thing but the brother confirms Clifford is mixed race, and having now had time to look at other photos, I think most people would class the dead girls as White, but I still don't believe they were purely ethnic English. I narrowed it to English, as Scottish, Welsh and Irish have minorities of slightly darker people. There are a lot of Irish people involved in horseracing so maybe they rolled two sixes twice on the genetic dice there (I haven't seen a pic of the third girl). Whoever it was, they have one or two ancestors from a more southerly land. Without sounding obnoxious, people who have lived in the UK for a long time can judge this better.
(2) Clifford was indeed Louise's ex. They broke up a week ago.
(3) The house apparently is worth about £800,000. The average house price in the UK is £275,000 or thereabouts. Dad is a TV sports presenter and used to be a policeman. I dunno... lower middle middle class? Upper lower middle class? As mentioned above the house value isn't the only factor, and again the class definitions are different to the USA and Canada. Nowhere near upper class anyway.
(4) Crossbow bans or at least further restrictions are indeed now being discussed, they have been discussed from time to time for a while and this incident will add impetus to that.
Kyle Clifford, a British Army veteran, found in north London and taken to major trauma centre following manhunt

Bradley Clifford
Six years ago Clifford’s older brother, Bradley,
was convicted of murder after a trial at the Old Bailey.
Bradley Clifford, a plumber, was 23 when he chased and deliberately mowed down Soban Khan, 18,
and Jahshua Francis, 19, on their moped after they struck his prized Ford Mustang car with a bottle.
Both teenagers were flung from the moped by the impact, and Clifford beat Mr Khan as he lay on the ground fatally injured.
The incident followed a row outside a bar in Enfield in which Clifford’s car received superficial damage. He flew into a rage and pursued the pair through the area in a 20-minute high speed chase before crashing into the moped.
Clifford was found guilty of murdering Mr Khan and of attempted GBH with intent on Mr Francis. He was jailed for life, and the judge told him he would have to serve at least 23 years before he would be eligible to apply for parole.
Apprehension
A British Army veteran wanted in connection with the death of three women in a suspected crossbow attack has been captured after being found with injuries, police have said.
Kyle Clifford, 26, who is understood to have served in the British Army for about a year, was named as a suspect by Hertfordshire police after the deaths of Carol Hunt, 61, and two of her daughters, Hannah, 28, and Louise, 25, at a property in Bushey.
Ch Supt Jon Simpson
from Hertfordshire Police told reporters earlier on Wednesday the suspected murders were believed to be targeted.
Later on Wednesday a statement from Hertfordshire Police said Clifford had been found in north London and received medical treatment for injuries. Police emphasised no shots were fired.
London Ambulance Service confirmed a man was treated at Lavender Hill Cemetery
before being transported to a 'major trauma centre', which could be one of four hospitals in the capital.

Murder and Background
A local resident who grew up with the Hunt family and played with Louise and Hannah when they were children described the family as 'super-nice and friendly'.
The 22-year-old woman, who did not want to be identified, said John and Carol Hunt would often be seen walking their dogs together in the local area.
She said: “I feel so bad for the dad. I saw him just two weeks ago.”
The family friend added that Hannah worked as a beautician and Louise as a dog groomer.
Louise Hunt, 25
It was a scene of unimaginable horror that left even hardened detectives shaken. A defenceless mother and her two daughters tied up in their own home and shot dead with a 3ft-long crossbow in a bloody rampage.
Around 6.30pm on Tuesday, neighbours of an £800,000 suburban home in a quiet cul-de-sac in Bushey, Hertfordshire, heard piercing screams which were initially mistaken for that of a distressed child.
Later they were to realise that it was a woman's desperate cries for help coming from the home where Louise Hunt, 25, her sister Hannah, 28, and mother Carol, 61, were ambushed by a crossbow-wielding killer.
Soon after the screams fell silent, the assailant fled the property, by which time the police had been alerted and were on their way.
Hannah and Carol
Although police and ambulance... rushed to the house they were unable to save the three victims, who died at the scene.
Within hours a national manhunt was under way for former soldier Kyle Clifford, who was named by police in a highly unusual step. The 26-year-old had previously served in the Queen's Dragoon Guards for a short time, before dropping out [in 2022], having failed to impress superiors, it was said last night.
Yesterday neighbours revealed that Clifford had been in a relationship with the Hunts' youngest daughter, Louise, but she split up with him a week ago.
Their parting is said to have left her so shaken that she recently crashed her car into a telegraph pole outside the family home.

Manhunt
After attending the scene the police began a large, armed manhunt, including police dogs and only allowing people to leave Tube stations slowly while they looked at them carefully, so they could potentially spot Clifford.
Later local schools were put into lockdown when armed police raided the suspect's home in Enfield, North London, some 14 miles from the crime scene.
One mother said: "They had cordoned off the road and were ushering people away from the house they were going into. They had the full protective gear on, guns, shields and helmets – the kind you'd expect to see in riots."
Dozens of officers from [New] Scotland Yard and Hertfordshire Police flooded the area a short time later after finding Clifford's abandoned car. But within hours the hunt had moved to a nearby cemetery just a few minutes' walk away. The former security guard was later found with self-inflicted injuries at Lavender Hill Cemetery just after 4.30pm, after seemingly shooting himself with the crossbow.
Apprehension
Around 20 minutes later Clifford was stretchered from the scene and taken by ambulance to Royal London Hospital, where he was receiving medical treatment last night.
Police confirmed no shots had been fired by officers and nobody else was being sought.
Potential Crossbow Restrictions
The Home Secretary, Yvette Cooper
is urgently considering the findings of a Home Office review to see if tougher crossbow laws need to be introduced in the wake of the deaths of the wife and two daughters of racing commentator John Hunt.
The previous Conservative government had considered tightening the laws around crossbows after would-be assassin Jaswant Singh Chail
was encouraged by an AI chatbot to break into Windsor Castle on Christmas Day 2021 with a loaded crossbow to kill the late Queen.
Currently there is no requirement to have a licence for a crossbow, but it is illegal to carry one in public without a reasonable excuse.
