I can’t even recall how many people have asked me to kill them. A lot. I never have, of course.
 
I'm sure he's going to be worth all the money spent trying to rehabilitate him into something that doesn't belong in jail...

I was just kinda poking at the notion you have to follow the 15 foot rule to a t. I've always had certain objections to it. Like if your guns not only already out but ready and the advantage belongs to you.

It does...but how at what point does it become an "acceptable" advantage?

I agree there aren't hard and fast rules, cops have to make judgement calls. But like, if she has a 90/10 advantage based on her gun is out, he hasn't lunged for it YET, etc...that's still a 10% chance he gets the gun and she's dead right? Would you jump out of a plane if the parachute had a 90% chance of opening?

There's an inherent risk in being a cop obviously. The question is: at what point do we expect them to put aside their own safety and not shoot? We all agree there's a line. If a guy is standing 30 feet away and clearly has no weapon but is saying he's gonna kill the cop and the cop shoots him, we all know that cop committed murder. But what about the cases (of which there are a pretty decent amount) that are far less clear? Suspect is advancing. Has a weapon, or a physical advantage. Etc etc.

Guy (pretty sure was in Philly area) cane at 2 cops with a big ass knife and they shot him. Guy was clearly mentally unstable. Shooting seemed justified if we believe cops are allowed to value their own safety. But we still had massive protests and Bernie Sanders tweeting the cops should be prosecuted and convicted, etc.

I don't know where the line is, not saying I do. I do know that you probably couldn't pay me enough to be a cop these days.

She was walking backwards for at least 30 seconds.
Many cops stand their ground and shoot if the threat approaches, and are even trained to do that.

Luckily, she had a lot of space to work with.

It reminds me of fucking Gotham city in Batman. Guys just walking up And robbing you at gunpoint in front of your house. Are you supposed to hide indoors?

According to the San Francisco police department, the city has seen roughly a 62 percent increase in burglaries through the first six weeks of 2021.
 
Guy was just trying to get money to buy new clothes for school. How be gon pay for clothes?
 
It pretty much goes all back to the family unit

BLM got popular this year and they don't like the nuclear family. We are told the nuclear family is white culture and unnecessary, and get rid of your whiteness. And we wonder why some of these cities have so much armed robbery and violent crime.

Why do they hate Nuclear family?

What is their alternative to nuclear? Coal?

I'm not making excuses for any mugger. If he is arrested and given 99 years, I wouldn't lose any sleep.

But I want to know how much would robberies go down if Americans had been receiving a UBI for the past year.
