I had a friend kill himself that way .. he sped up and down the expressway until a state trooper stopped him and pulled a silver fake plastic gun and was shot to death

we found out later he had 30k in gambling debt and they said get the money or we go after your family ...
its a shame he didnt seek help ... was a really nice person..

he even wrote a note to the cops saying "to the officer who shot me this isnt your fault i wanted this etc""

Neither really but if she blasted that dude everyone would make excuses for her and say it was all good.....what I just saw is that cops don't have to shoot you on the spot and it can be resolved without a mag dump.

But as a much smaller and weaker person as a female cop when the guy starts advancing on you and talking about taking your gun...at what point does putting him down become justified? He could close distance quickly, and if he does get the gun she's likely dead.

But if the guy decides to rush her as he's advancing and she's retreating he could be on her within a fraction of a second from that close. And he'd get the gun easily, she'd have no chance to keep it if he got his hands to it.

This worked out for the best, but your "what if" about her blasting him ends up with him probably dead. Which sucks. Him getting the gun away and shooting her ends up with her dead, which is worse.

Not saying there's a perfect answer but we really wouldn't give her the benefit of the doubt there if she shoots him once he starts advancing AND he's actually verbalizing taking her gun away??
