i did not say anything bad in the pixar thread and the mod that deleted that post said in private message i could continue to make the same point without any details and i did. also i have never even been carded so stop trying to pretend there is some kind of equivalency here between a person who has never even been carded to someone who got permabanned.

i dont know man. i went with my wife and daughter 4 years ago and it was fantastic on all accounts. we stayed sway from bourbon street so that may be part of why. the music culture was fantastic and it really felt like being in another country. we went to gande isle and swam in the ocean for a whole in day in 80 degree water and saw dolphins and went to national parks and walked in the bayou and saw the most incredible mix up of wildlife including wild boars, alligators, cottonmouth snakes frogs and a whole long list of neat insects.

back in the city the people were wonderful to talk with and get to know. we took a paddle boat tour up the missisippi river and saw damn ocean-liners cruising up it!! all in all it was one of the best vacations i ever went on (not that ive been a ton of places). frenchman street was the place to be at night for music... more locals and less touristy, people swing dancing and jazz jam bands.

i didn't thrive on the food but that's because im vegetarian and its not really the place for that but everything else was incredible.

We definitely had different experiences for sure. Bourbon Street was under construction when I went so it wasn't much to look at, but yeah I'm with you on Frenchman Street, it was a good time there. Went for Voodoo Fest so spent a lot of time in City Park which was a pretty mediocre venue (muddy, small, lacked amenities other festivals have). Stayed just east of downtown. Can't recall seeing so many abandoned looking properties in a comprable city. Honestly taking an Uber through the residential parts of town was depressing. The best thing there for me was the food. Seafood was top notch. I have lot's of places to still see on my bucket list and I only go back to places I truly love, or have family at lol.
