Have you ever taught yourself anything

Taught myself how to repair lawnmowers and cars. How to sew. Learned how to fix some HVAC stuff messing with ours. Had a gig for several years writing for publication and had basically no training before I got into that.

Lots of things.

Organ for instance. I was good enough that some faculty thought I was an organ major.

Once you understand how to learn, and importantly how YOU learn best, it's rather easy to teach yourself many things, especially with the wealth of resources we have nowadays.

Does watching and learning from videos/tutorials count? If so, then:

BJJ techniques (super basic, supplemental to class)
Excel
Spanish (super basic via Duolingo - does this count?) (need this to communicate with Mexican hookers)
How to fix leaky faucet
How to fix stuck garbage disposal

I will not take credit for what Youtube taught me. Fine tuning my sewing and sewing machine repairing, changed light switch, attempting to fix PS3 controller.
That's interesting, I enjoyed making clothes but I did go and have lessons. I'm about to EBay both my machines and gear.
