Social Have you ever gotten the "ick" from a woman?

Seems it is either bad luck or personal preference. The darker the skin and hair, the more noticeable (not judging, it can actually be good) the body scent, it's just how human skin works.
Pussy-wise it mostly depends on the hygiene, though, as an infection or chronical lack of washing overwhelms anything else.

Could be bad luck or coincidence, but I work in healthcare and I've been near a lot of vaginas. My theory is also based on almost 14 years of professional interaction with female patients, not just from my romantic life. Some people just stink.

When I was young I thought too highly of the women I was interested in and they always seemed to do things to show me they didn't deserve that station. Did that make them "bad" or anything? no, not most of them, just made me lose interest. The ultimate ick is a lack of personal hygiene. I stopped seeing a girl that was extra musky. Not sure if she wasn't showering properly or if she had bacterial vaginosis but it stunk all the damn time. I don't know if it's coincidence but all of the women I've dated that have blue/green eyes and lighter colored hair all had a pretty strong odor. Dark hair and dark eyes, no problem. Maybe my nose is broken or it's genetic and my body is seeking out women who are truly compatible. I guess that's a thing. Sometimes specific people smell bad to a select group of others.

I don't think there's a correlation with hair and eye color. I've been chicks with light hair and eyes who smell, some didn't. Some black girls smelled some didn't. Asians in general don't smell though, that much is true from my experience.

I think that's what an ick is actually. It's not a moral judgement or something that is obviously a red flag, but some relatively innocuous trait that makes you lose attraction for that person. Like a woman lose attraction for a guy if she finds out he can't change a tire. It doesn't mean he's a bad person but in her head, it could signal that he's not a capable. But this depends on the person. One man's ick is another man's attraction trigger I suppose.

Like my example of the chick who got scared by the butterfly is an ick for me, but maybe some guys wouldn't mind it, or even find it endearing. My guess was that her fear was partially a social behavior, performative fear rather than genuine fear, because who the fuck gets scared of a butterfly? Maybe she thought I would find her more attractive if she's a damsel in distress, but that makes it even "ickier" for me.

When I about 19 years old I was seeing this girl who was probably among the hottest girls I ever landed. If not the hottest.

One day we were just sitting in her living room and her cat comes up to me. She first tries shouting the cat away so it wouldn’t bother me but I told her that it’s fine and I like cats…so I picked the kitty up and started petting and saying how good of a kitty it was. She said because it’s not a kitten anymore and she wants to put it down so she can go get a kitten

She did try to walk it back like a minute later when she likely noticed how bothered I was that she had so much disdain for a good pet who seemed to be doing everything right…but I pretty much ghosted her after that. It pissed me off

alot of what most men would call that are things that are pretty trivial and just an excuse to avoid intimacy in my opinion,, happens to women too i'm sure. Truth be told, I've been listening to a woman who thinks monogamy is a huge con pulled on all of us, I think she's right. We're not supposed to be stuck with one person and we react the way we do in a million ways from "ick" to nasty divorce, maybe you could even include some of the more bloody types of stuff in there too, I'm not sure.

I'm wouldn't say so much of a con but a necessary function in settled societies in large populations to keep it functional. It's a different topic but I think we're not naturally meant to have one lifelong monogamous partner, but we're also not naturally meant to live in cities of millions of people and work in front of a computer all day while drinking iced lattes with syrup. Our conventions of monogamy might not have developed in a tribal society but you also couldn't have a body count of 100+ people because there probably weren't even 100 people in your tribe.

absolutely, we aren't supposed to live like this. I don't know how much of the games people play (to quote the popular book by the same name) is necessary, I'm sure some of it is just because what's underneath most people is pretty vile and you can't put that forth as the first thing, there has to be deception, a mask of some kind. Most people are so lost in it that they don't seem to realize what's going on, but I always have. Never made friends easy, highly paranoid about the friends I do have and only found my life to reinforce all my worst suspicions.

Not the ick so to speak but a funny story. Before I met my wife did a bunch of online dating and went on a bit of a rampage. Met a bigger girl who I had a one night stand with. We’re both laying in her bed messing around and she says “close your eyes.” So I say “nah, I’m good, just tell me what you have in mind.” She says she can’t tell me and to just do it. Argue a little and then say fine. Of course I didn’t.

She rolled off the side of the bed, opened the drawer of her night stand, pulled out a pack of baby wipes and went to town cleaning that thing. Still went through with it, but it was tough because I kept laughing with the vision of her cottage cheese ass doing partial squats with her back towards me while taking care of that.
