Have you ever felt pain like this?

The Sherdoctors before me already got you covered fam. It's either gout, or AIDS.

A few hot toddies before bed over the course of a week or two should clear you right up!
 
Same shit today, while walking through the work building. Idk what it is, but I've been getting it for years
 
I’ve had it happen for years as well, at least very similar. No idea what it is or why it happens, but it doesn’t stop with the foot. I get random pains all over the body now. Some are worse than others. They all go away as quickly as they show up it seems. I’ve mentioned some to my Dr. As long as they go away, don’t worry about it.

This doesn't usually happen to me. Feels like there should be a reason if your body hurts. The last time I remember something like this happening was when I was 16 or so. Some muscle in one part of my face was really sore for a few days then it went away. Have no idea what that was about.

I massaged my foot to see if it would help and laid on my bed and the pain eventually subsided. The sharp pain turned into soreness and it almost cool, as if I applied one of those cooling ointments (I did not). Which is a relief because it hurt so much I wouldn't have been able to work or sleep if it persisted. Now the pain is completely gone except it feels very subtly sore. It went away as mysteriously as it came.

What the hell? Has anyone experienced something like this? Am I cursed? Just a part of getting old?

TLDR:
1. Sudden sharp and intense foot pain.
2. No explanation for it.
3. Pain subsides mysteriously after about 10 minutes.
4. Why?

If it got better so quickly, then I doubt it's anything serious. The way you describe it sounds like a muscle spasm, which can hurt like hell.

If it becomes a problem, pester your doctor for some imaging. Next step after that would probably be PT or an orthopedics referral. Again, this sounds like no big deal to me, but I'm just laying it out there.
