Has there been a UFC fighter that you used to love but now you hate????

Jones
I don't hate GSP. But, I just wish I knew less about him.
Frankie Edgar.
Sterling is pushing it.

Royce Gracie & Family. I thought they were respectful martial artists and supported them through the Sakuraba defeats🐯
Then I noticed how foul they behaved during, before and after fights and began to dislike their poor attitudes towards opponents.
Their history of street violence against anyone who opposed them. Carlos, Helio & Jorge Gracie attempting to murder Rufino does Santos (who defeated Carlos in a sanctioned match) that ended his career.
They are a family of Nazi lovers (historically documented) and have shown recent support of Chechen dicktaster Kardyrov.
Oh and they never evolved successfully into modern MMA and if you join one of their schools you gotta buy Gracie gis & swag to be worn exclusively💩🥋🤡

i dont think there is anyone to hate to much but i used to be a big bj penn fan and as time went on he made it pretty hard to like him overall. still decent guy and was a legend but not who i thought he was overall.

conor was a 145lb guy selling him self like the embodiment of bruce lees philosophies and delivering on that while being a wild funny guy. he changed his approach drastically and leaned heavy on heel/gangster. i think at his core hes still the guy who is loyal to his team and family in the bigger picture but is another guy to say its hard to be a fan now. some might like the new character role more though.

ben askren- was interesting guy at first. got annoying.

tyron woodly. was explosive and interesting to see him in fights. then fought really gun shy and bad to many fights in a row. then got knocked out by jake paul.

andrei arlovski- always went from liking this guy to not being able to stand to watch him fight. back and forth. even now. where id say i like the fact hes still in there at all. but hes a guy who rarely fought to his true potential and lost a lot of fights by being overly aggressive.

jake paul- most unlikable person in combat sports maybe? not really in the sport for real though so not sure he counts but hes tied to some people im mentioning in this list so might as well mention.

matt hughes- used to seem normal and then wrote a book and got hit by a train

jorge masvidal got weird and unlikable.

kevin holland went from being annoying to really annoying.

henry ceudo adapated trumps mouth and hand movements when he talks.

tj was cool until i learned about the friendly fire.

rose namajunes. i cant relate.

jamal hill

frank shamrock

renzo gracie

Sad to say it, but probably BJ Penn.

At one point he was probably my favourite fighter. Then he started losing constantly and it became harder to cheer for him. Then it became apparent that he was just a very shitty person in general.

Now I think he'a a moron and a scumbag, and his career is one of the biggest disappointments in MMA history.

Some of the 155 rank squatters have been getting hard to endure. Not that they're bad fighters, but they've tried their hardest to constipate the division so they can sneak into a title shot. Gaethje, Porier, Charles, and Chandler are interchangeable widgets at this point and you can only shuffle the deck enough times before the fans get fed up with that shit.

So pretty much anyone that sits on the sidelines and belly aches for a title shit loses a lot of my admiration. Add Stipe, Masvidal, and Usman to the list too.

Islam/Khabib

The near homoerotic and deranged worship from their fans just didn't allow me to be a fan anymore

They have an actual cult like weirdo fanbase who genuinely think they are untouchable and the greatest thing to happen to MMA despite bad resumes/questionable decisions/losses

Also Khabib became annoying after he retired, always trying make headlines with hot takes/dumb opinions and insert himself everywhere in the media despite not competing anymore

There are fighters who I used to like but grew indifferent toward like Jon Jones or Anthony Johnson. I was fans of them when they were prospects. I have nothing against Rumble btw, I didn't see his LHW run live which probably would have made me a fan of him again.

I'm not sure if there are many fighters who I hate. There are fighters who have annoying fan bases which might be the closest thing. I would say whatever fighter I can think of that I dislike, I probably never liked them in the first place.

Yeah that book was brutal, horrible to read. It was like it was written by someone who hates him because everything made him look so bad, the worst book I've ever read on a sports star.

The TUF coaching appearances were not good either. Its a shame because I really liked him back in the day, he was so strong, he was incredibly physically strong and I still have him as #2 WW GOAT behind GSP, as Hughes has double the amount of wins than anyone else in WW, but yeah can't say I'm a fan of him after that, so hard to like and respect him.

That's because you only read the troll recap of his book and not the actual book, and that was written by someone that hates him.

Only person who I kind of dislike who I used to root for would be Conor
I don't hate any fighter, more their fanbases :D

I don't hate Hughes, but I'm not a fan of his anymore.
My general strategy is to restrain my attachment so that I can easily pivot if the fighter disappoints me; thus never any hate.
(I'm afraid I may be mildly afflicted by casualitis. :()
