You don't consider that possibly an exaggeration given that the biggest recorded increase at that weight is like 16 pounds, but got as low as 7?

*edit* Ok yeah, I just caught your edit too. I thought you were saying she's a huge weight cutter at fly and shouldn't even be there
This is her own father claiming she was 65kg (143.3 lbs).

Her listed height is BS. She's obviously taller than 5'3". She's 5'5" or 5'6". If we move past the misconception that she's short, it seems entirely possible that walks around at at least 145 based on the way she looks.

She was 16-17 at the time. How long can you hold stupid shit a person did in high school against them?

If that was it? Probably not care ever. With that and her arrogant cocky behaviour as the background and then watching how she acted in regards to Modafferi and Maverick? Well man, #1 hater coming on through.

Some people are just gonna dislike certain fighters, don't worry about it.

Thank You!!!! Ribas is a natural 125er that kills her self to get to 115.

Well few things. First, so we know what they gave for her height is obviously bullshitted, but his weight claim isn't? Still don't know why we'd take his word for it. Secondly, guessing at people's weight by looks seems extremely flaky. And thirdly, walk around weight isn't fight night weight. The weights that people regain to are not what their everyday weights are. It's probably not even their camp weight.

Fighters who regain 15% or more in California come under their ruling, where the fight could be canceled or they will be recommended to move up. According to California's UFC measurements so far, the median weight gain percent across all classes is about 10%. The biggest recorded percent weight increase across all classes is 17.778%. The strawweight range is from 6.207% - 14.459% with a mean of 10.769%. If she went from 116 lb to 143.3 lb as claimed, that's a 23.534% increase. That doesn't strike up as fishy to you?

Yes, because her willingness to engage and try to finish her opponent is great. She may not punch or box like Floyd Mayweather nor have the BJJ technique of a grandmaster practitioner. That’s not what it is about… she is aggressive, skilled and not afraid to eat a shot. That’s what I respect about her and I believe she is going to do well in wmma because of those 3 attributes. The rest should fall in line for her.

@TITS...I know you are fully committed to this "125 division is NG" opinion, and it was possibly a valid opinion a few years ago, but now it's just inaccurate. 125 is quickly emerging as a great division with plenty of talented up-and-coming (and young) challengers. It may rival 115 at some point in the next 2-3 years. Don't let your stubborness push you into the role of the fool.

Id argue that’s it’s already better

No. This division is absolutely bush league and makes the UFC look amateurish. You guys can white knight all you want, but it's pretty obvious some of you (like the OP) are trolling. This is the division, that until recently, had Jessica Eye as a number one contender, then Cynthia Calvillo took her spot. Now it's some French kickboxer who didn't seem like she wanted to fight Valentina for the title. This division has always been crap, it is not evolving.

Nope. Most real MMA fans would agree with me. You're just a white knight and cannot refute anything I say, so you resort to snarky little comments like this one. You didn't even know who Johnny Eblen was when he was fighting Mousasi for a title, but you think "Erin Blanchfield is a thing"...hilarious. Talk about embarrassing. You are an absolute casual and a UFC shill.

Triggggggered!!!!!!

I tried to help. I know, it's a fool's errand on Sherdog, but I tried.

P.S. Maycee Barber beat Jessica Eye into retirement a year ago, btw.

Yep, you got nothing, as usual (and as expected). Goodnight, and have fun trying to get people to care about a division full of regional-level talent.
I'm sorry I hurt your feelings.

Goodnight Sherbro.
