there is slow no gif that clearly shows it was a punch and not a headbutt that dropped her

Also the ref stopped it because Ribas took TWENTY PLUS unanswered shots to the head. And the rules say you must defend yourself at all times. Go count it yourself Ribas ate a shit ton of blows before the ref intervened

I'd love to see her fight the loser of Blanchfield Vs Talia. she already decisioned the champ once
and proved that she belong with the bad girls.

Bro chill out. If your talking about Grasso Maycee got peiced up. Alexa tore her ACL in the last round, the only round Maycee won. Maycee just had a good win, but she definitely cant hang with Alexa yet. Even though I picked Ribas to win I also knew that her over aggression could be detrimental against someone like Maycee. Im still on the fence on what Maycee ceiling is. She's a reckless brawler that's easy to hit with suspect TDD. She still has a lot of work to do to compete with the top of the division.

Ribas is a skilled martial artist and defeating her is a tremendous accomplishment but you have some things twisted:

1.) Maycee did not out-grapple Ribas. She failed on her lone takedown attempt and was taken down by Ribas on 2/3 attempts?

2.) The last time Maycee fought an opponent with some striking acumen (Alexa Grasso) they landed on 46% of their significant strikes. Ribas, who is definitely a competent striker, landed of 47% of her significant strike attempts. So Maycee's striking defense against competent strikers is roughly the same at best? Also Amanda was landing on over 50% of her significant strike attempts before she got hurt in the first round.

This win had a lot more to do with what Ribas, a skilled martial artist who deserves respect for her skills did wrong, than what a size-bully like Maycee did right. I think Ribas needs to go back to her natural weight-class and Maycee needs to learn some new skills because like I said she looked like the exact same fighter who had that close fight with Miranda Maverick two years ago.

I don't think Maycee is going to last in the modern WFLW division with her current-skillset.

Ribas was bigger than Maycee in the cage. Plain as day to see

115 is not Ribas’s natural weight class. She cuts an insane amount of weight to make the division. And is much taller than listed by the UFC. She is 125er

Maycee was able to get top position and not only control but land devastating GNP on Maycee. That is out grappling

Maycee is a probably won’t be champion but she will be mainstay in the TOP 10 for years to come

Watch her earlier fights. She is Cleben. She only looks good in this fight because the other person is a Judo/BJJ person who wanted to strike with her. She got power but she wouldn't have the timing down against a polished striker.

You don't consider that possibly an exaggeration given that the biggest recorded increase at that weight is like 16 pounds, but got as low as 7?
