Has Bo said anything or addressed the loss yet?

He found out the hard way that he isn't made for war.

Nothing's going to change. He'll fight a few tailor made cans and then have another step up fight against a real fighter, and he'll likely lose again.

Next time he'll step away from MMA. Maybe just go into wrestling teaching where he can't get hurt.

He found out the hard way, he isn't made for 185. Its that simple.

He’s gonna hide Ronda Rousey style ….Bo been lying to himself for so long the truth gonna hit him hard

That's right, he's not made for war. Another Brock lesnar, just without the size advantage to overpower. When the going got tough, he folded.
Bo would’ve quit 3 times if he took the punishment Brock took against Carwin ……Brock got pummeled by Prime Cain and Prime Overeem….they pummeled a lot of dudes

"Bo Nickal needs to be held accountable!" scream people who literally refuse to believe they ever make a mistake or do anything wrong.

You'd think Nickal did something really heinous like say he had the right to have sex with other people's children.

This loss is good for Bo. He isn't a big name like Lesnar. Bo can't half ass his MMA training anymore. He splits his time between Pennsylvania and Florida.

His first pro fight was 06/2022, started too late. Will be a late bloomer.
Didn't take much damage to the chin so far.
Top13 was too soon.

Still has enough years to improve though.

It looked bad for Bo but I don’t think it’s really that bad.

RDR could be that MW champ. The size difference was massive.

Bo gassing like that is worrisome, he was gassed after the 1st round.

what a dumb move to go for that guillotine, it changed the fight.

Now he knows what he has to do to get to the next level, he’s got the pedigree but the mentality looks to be lacking. Drop him down a peg and let him start a run again.

He's just green still, Bo made a bad decision to go for a guillotine at one point and lost position. Also he's much too small to overcome the legit guys.
You'd think Nickal could shoot some takedowns and try and implement his game. I mean that's why he has so much hype around him.. wrestling

I don't think he liked what he felt in the grappling in round 1. I don't know what his training looks like, but I imagine he's spending a ton of time trying to improve his striking. I think maybe time would be better spent teaching him how to just work to his strengths and just go out there and focus on getting guys to the ground and keeping them there.

But a guy like RDR is sort of a nightmare for a wrestler. This was just a bad matchup for Nickal. I kinda think he is still potentially a top 10 guy in thay division if he uses this loss as motivation and comes back stronger.

That's how I see it going as well unfortunately, one more loss like that and he's out. I wonder if he would've been better off going into pure grappling and getting fame and money that way, a la Gordon Ryan and Musumeci....but maybe I'm wrong but it seems like ADCC has declined in prominence and the money and fame is in pure BJJ now? If ADCC was still big he might have had a real shit to become top tier like Jeff Monson back in the day.

He had a lot of notoriety and could've sold grappling instructionals on meshing wrestling with BJJ or something, exploiting the fact that BJJers tend to have poor takedowns. If anything though this UFC run was bad exposure for that, because it showed that his wrestling was ineffective in MMA. Think about it, if he didn't fight, we would all still be going on the gym stories where they talked about him being an invincible grappler, and he got a lot of credit just for surviving against Gordon Ryan a few years back.

Bo should've let me be his manager, I would've had him switch to this path maybe after the Pickett fight, and definitively after Brundage.

That’s what happens when you fight nothing but cans you can crush and favourable matchups without any adversity.

UFC matchmaking is so awful now, you don’t make good MMA fighters going the boxing route. Dumb fans buy into his shitty 4 fight win streak but none of those guys he beat except Craig should even be in the UFC.

People are right about this though. It wasn't just that he was getting hurt. Even at the end of the first he was going back to his corner looking completely dejected. And it's not like he'd gotten flogged that round either. He just lost position, wound up on bottom, and had to waste a bit of energy there. He'd only taken a few hard shots on the feet.

If that's breaking his will so much then he wasn't anywhere near ready for this level of fighting. And he might never be. Not everyone has it.

It feels like a lot of these wrestlers who are so used to dominating at wrestling can't handle it when things go remotely wrong in an MMA fight. They're so used to being the hammer that once they become the nail they break mentally before they've even got hammered in.
I agree, but that's not exactly what I was alluding to when I meant shit posters.

This was just a bad matchup for Nickal.
Yup, very bad matchup indeed. I wouldn't write anyone completely off after a lose, especially considering all the reasons you stated.

He'll have his excuse parade soon, just give it a couple minutes.

We should take odds on what his excuse will be. My money's on "I'm too small for the division."

Just curious if he’s said anything

After the confident smack he’s talked … wonder what hes said and how he handles this

Was there a post fight press conference? - I can’t find anything …. Has Dana said anything ?

Also curious if he really still wants this after that …

For the record - there no shame in losing to RDR …. But there’s gotta be a feeling of shame after all the cocky shit he’s been talking about all the fighters ranked above him … this gotta sting …
If Dana has said anything, it's probably about how Jon Jones is the best P4P fighter and/or about how good Power Slap's internet numbers are.

Some just don't like people that have confidence in themselves, even if it was a little delusional. These same people would jerk off Conor and Jones at the same time if they had a chance.

He's gone fishing with fellow NCAA Division 1 wrestling champ Gregor Gillespie
