As long as there is an arc to the drop it's legal. Piledriver or 12-6 straight spike is not. If the opponent is holding onto a Sub then they get whatever ride you give.

I wasn't sure of the exact wording on that but crown of the head; wouldn't that mean the Rampage on Arona KO would have been illegal(if it had been done in the UFC).

Powerbomb, not a spike or piledriver. Also Arona iirc was hanging onto a sub, you're allowed to slam an opponent to break a triangle, kimura, etc.

I do wonder if PRIDE stayed around, how they'd handle stomps and soccer kicks with guys like Ngannou popping up. Ngannou soccer kicking someone square in the face would probably kill someone, literally.. Imagine the Overeem KO followed by soccer kicks before the ref jumped in. At some point they'd have to see the insanity and gotten rid of them like the UFC did before that happened right?

Harder to sue people in Japan – especially if you are a "foreigner". The UFC would have more lawsuits than fighters
