Has Ankalaev ever been dropped or rocked?

Doesn't matter against someone with Alex's power.

That's like saying has Spinks ever been knocked out before the Tyson fight.

Has Ankalaev ever been dropped or rocked or battled through serious adversity?

All that comes to mind is him limping from
Leg kicks

But can’t remember him ever being rocked …. That’s why I find myself betting him … but hoping Alex KOs him!

I would rather lose my money and Alex wins … but I have to bet Ankalaev at plus money here unfortunatly

If anyone can post any gifs or can recall Ankalaev being rocked - plz share!
Thiago Santos rocked him twice and dropped him once. Both times by left hook.
And keep in mind, this was a 29 year old Ank vs a 38 year old Santos coming of multiple loses and really bad leg surgery.

And most recently Rakic caught him with a left hook too but it didn't rock him.
If Pereira catches him with the left hook, it's going to be a short night for Ank. He's a way more accurate striker then either Santos or Rakic. As well as less tel.

If only Alex had the ability to throw leg kicks...

The entire reason why people wanted Weidman/Silva was because he was Chael with sub defence and standing power. That's why Silva himself ducked him for a year. It was a horrific matchup.

Don't embarass yourself mate Jesus Christ.

When did I say anything that is counter to this? And Weidman won the fight due to that overwhelming threat. There was no way in hell Silva could compete from the bottom against Weidman, and once he felt that after getting taken down and beaten up, he no longer could even be effective on the feet whatsoever, couldn't land a meaningful strike due to overwhelming fear of the takedown. Yes he was an absolutely horrific matchup.

Ank is like Jan with better wrestling and Pereira has been ducking him in a similar fashion, and it's his toughest matchup in the division. Perhaps not as nightmarish as Weidman because Weidman back then was probably second only to Jones in overall ability.

I’m rolling with Owl Squad now, but Pereira hasn’t ducked anyone. He followed the match maker’s plans, it would seem.

Ank laid an egg vs. Santos, and again with Jan. Dana was very outspoken about these performances. UFC was in no hurry to rush Ank to another TS.

I'd also like to bring up that Ank doesn't seem to have great fight IQ.

-Kneeing Walker on the ground for a NC
-Not choosing to wrestle vs Jan until the later rounds even though he was getting chewed up on the feet
-Staying in Paul Craig's guard, at all

If he has a lapse of judgement, that could be a game changer that Poatan can take advantage of
