Media Has a non main event ever carried an entire card like Charles Benny for UFC 289?

I don't know what the UFC was planning here but it could turn out to be a good card, better than people think. I've seen it happen before. Personally, I think every top 5 ranked matches should be scheduled for 5. The biggest let down here is Dariush-Oliveira only being 3, but maybe that's all they need to get the job done.

Yes the star/pulling power of the card often doesn't equate to how good the card is. However selling the card needs the star/pulling power and that is where they have screwed up here. Matchmakers may have done their job in terms of making good fights but they have failed in terms of getting people interested.

If Charles Benny got axed for a late pullout this card is worse than 95% of Fight Night cards. HORRENDOUS absolutely REVOLTING card. Nasty work by UFC. These 2 are CARRYING.

I remember for UFC 178 Mighty Mouse vs Cariaso that Conor joked him vs Dustin was the real main event everybody was there for.

Looking over the card though, the main event is terrible yes but overall the card is great and would be a top PPV in today's age:

This is another. Conor Dustin was the 3rd last fight on the card but had by far the most hype and eyes on it as Conors first true test against the top dawgs. Hypetrain was choo chooing hard. But that card still had alot of stellar fights including comain Eddie Cowboy and a damn good undercard.

I wouldn't pay 10 dollars for it. Aldana with that big 2 fight win streak, one over someone I don't think I've ever seen fight that is 1-2 in her last 3.

It’s shameful of the UFC to throw Nunes vs random wmma Jabroni on the card and call it a $80 PPV. Nobody cares about this women’s ”title” fight, and the co main shouldn’t even be happening, Beneil should be getting his shot already. But since it is, it’s worthy of 5 rounds as it’s the real main event of the card, with actual stakes and repercussions for the winner and loser. UFC is starting to decline for real because of stuff like this.
