I never had a problem with Joe or DC but today they were annoying as fuc and i was tellin the boys these 2 dudes gotta hang it up tbh. I like Anik tho

During the promo for Rountree there was a voice over him saying Rountree KOd one of the best kickboxers alive at the time. I figured that was either AI or they just read him dumb lines to say for it.

But then Rountree is walking out and he said it again haha.

Saki was not one of the greatest kickboxers alive when Rountree beat him hahaha. So dumb.

Unfortunately the UFC has zero for quality control and they don't give a fuck. This is the gang we're stuck with. Joe will be given license to do this as long as he wants and buckle in cuz DC could be calling fights for decades, hopefully he grows more professional in time.

They won't level up until the company is run by fresh blood which may well be a very long time from now.

Hours after ppv and Joe should retire and Alex will get smashed by Ank.

Maybe one day Schaub will pull an uno reverse card on joe during a podcast.
Schaub: If you had a commentating match against Laura Sanko how do you think you would do?

Joe: Straight up commentating? I think you would be surprised....

Schaub: I think you'd be surprised, I really do, I think she would fuck you up.

Like a few posters here, like Joe a lot but feel like it's starting to go into the negative territory. Cheering on someone (during commentary) for "being smart and grinding out this decision" is so tonedeaf. And then praising the dude in the post fight to a chorus of boos because he "fought" a "technical fight." What is it in it for Joe now? Why bro? Why u do this

A technical fight is what Pereira did.

Please retire, Joe.

You're not even watching these fights anymore, you're just perpetuating prefabricated narratives.

Just retire, man. You've watched many great fighters hang 'em up, it's your turn.
Some would say that's his job.

Shocking a concept it may be that a commentator / promoter is pushed to promote specific outlined narratives.

Imagine Joe walks into the studio one day to Schaub, Joey Diaz, Callen, and Eddie Bravo there all with a concerned look on their faces. Schaub asks Joe to have a seat in a Chris Hansen to-catch-a-predator way. Schaub says "Were worried for you Joe....Jamie pull up the picture"

Jamie proceeds to pull up a Ronda Rousey picture on the monitor. Schaub says with a sly smile on his face " Those were good times right Joe?!? But all good things must come to an end"

that''s more to do with ufc giving them talking points around fighters they want to highlight.

How do you come out of your prime commentating? I don't get it. I understand the metrics of having less explosion and speed etc that makes athletes decline. But I don't understand why Joe has "checked out" (he has) and what the actual cause of it is.

Is it a cognitive thing? He seems fine on his podcast so I don't think so. Or is it a boredom thing that he just doesn't care?
