Kills is straight ass.
And not the good kind
Kills is straight ass.
And not the good kind
Halloween was one of the greatest Horror movies ever made, and still holds up well today. Unfortunately, it's been downhill since then.
LOL.Still haven't watched kills and probably won't watch ends
I am always hoping they are gems and bring back the glory to Mike
but I was severely disappointed by 18
I was thinking of this the other day
but of the big three slasher mass murders
I gotta say Jason is king
he never had any thing as good as H1 and 2 but overall here is more quality in F13 franchise than Halloween
which is a shame Mike is my favorite and the scariest
he needs another reboot
if Batman can get 39 reboots than give Mike 40 he is a national treasure imo
H20 was an abomination of shit. 90's scream style with the ugliest Mask and most passive least intimidating Micheal of any Halloween movie. The only thing it had going for it was Nostalgia and it failed.Me too. I have't truly liked a Halloween movie since H20 and even that one was so-so. But these Blumhouse ones are abominations. If you haven't seen HK yet the only thing you're missing is a headache. Literally, if it wasn't for Resurrection the Blumhouse movies would be the worst in the entire franchise. It's ridiculous.
I love F13th Parts 1-8 (the Paramount ones). Although none of the films are as good or scary as Halloween, they are way more fun.
i dont rate f13 that high i guess its probably at bottom of my f13 top 10 i dont wanna see kills because it is like f13LOL.
Friday the 13th had quality if you like strange kills and comedy and Jason doing invasion of the Body snatchers and going to space and shit. The best movie in the Friday the 13th series didn't even have Jason as the main killer lol.
Imagine not being the main killer in your own franchise.
Strangely, you not seeing kills is strange because it is the most "Friday the 13th" style movie in the Halloween Franchise. Invincible fucking Micheal and stupid characters you hope get killed by him.
ill agree with you on H20H20 was an abomination of shit. 90's scream style with the ugliest Mask and most passive least intimidating Micheal of any Halloween movie. The only thing it had going for it was Nostalgia and it failed.
2018 was superior in every way and is arguably tied with Halloween 2 for 2nd best movie. And its almost universally regarded that way with few dissenters.
Kills? yeah kills wasn't great. The only thing it had golng for it was the best looking Mask and one of the best intimidating portrayals of Myers ever. He was a killing machine in this movie and all the characters were so stupid you wanted them to die.
It depends on which one you watch.
H1: No
HII: No
H4: No
H5: Kinda
H6: Yes - He was inflicted with a curse which forces him to kill - P-Cut. // T-Cut - He just kills to kill but the curse keeps him from dying. (I like T-Cut better)
H20: No
HR: No
RZH: Yes - White trash family upbringing. Kills because people treated him like shit.
RZH2: Yes - Same thing + see's visions of his mother. Kills for her.
H'18: No
HK: No
do yo'self a favourI never saw any of the originals. I only seen the newer incarnations with Jamie Lee Curtis as the older lady. I never understood why he doesn't die.
The Rob Zombie Halloween movies are appropriately called "Halloween: Trailer park trash". The workprint version is the best one, if only because the Musical score is superior to the theatrical release or Directors cut or Unrated version. I have a copy of the workprint, but its hard to find.do yo'self a favour
H1 is a legitimately good movie that transcends the genre.
H2 is a fantastic slasher and they play together masterfully
its the young laurie/mike saga
it is punctuated by 3 which is a one off that is a pretty damn fine 80's horror movie..but is not a mike myers horror movie
h4-6 is the danielle harris/jaime strode and mid age mike saga which introduces some big ideas but end up dying on the vine for each movie
h20 sucks
resureection is worse
rob zombie halloween 1 and 2 are contraversial
the first one has a twist on the lore so if you watch it you will learn all the lore with a zombie twist and the 2nd half is a pretty faithful copy of the first flick (without the magic i might add)
the 2nd is wackadoo crazy shit but it is nasty has gore and i think sherri moon's tits so that might make it worth it to you

Skip to the 20:10 mark of this to hear just how superior the score was compared to the released versions.
A good score is everything
The Original is a masterpiece that holds up to this day. The pacing, musical score(Carpenter was a genius for scores) and sense of menace is perfect. Grab your girlfriend and watch it. it is an atmosphere thriller, much like Alien, which also holds up to this day despite how shitty the technology looks on a ship supposedly hundreds of years in the future.I never saw any of the originals. the build up and mike stalking and the atmosphere of haddonfield is beautifulThe Original is a masterpiece that holds up to this day. Carpenter was a genius with his scores. Even watching 2018, a scene came up and I realized he MUST have written the score for it. And I looked and i was right.i agree the score is key to the movie its one of the carpenter legacies

Prince of Darkness isn't the greatest movie or anything, but Goddamn the Music elevates it from Mediocre to much better
Some of them still have some redeeming qualities. For example:
Halloween 2
And Halloween 4

The original had so many creepy scary shots. Like when Michael is seen by Tommy through the window Tommy sees across the street at the house a white face mask and the man in black Michael carrying a body that he placed in white sheets while he kicks open the front door.
