Deadlocked. My god, what kind of jerkoffs are in that jury. Then they drop the big charge for a lesser charge, making it easier to get a guilty. That's fucking sick.

This has likely been said, but I'm not reading thru 170+ pages of pissing and moaning. How can they not think giving him any guilty verdict is going to prevent everyone helping anyone? Even this trial is already stopping folks, I guarantee it.

Just for shits and giggles, I reread the first ten pages. Some called for murder charges. Not as many demanding he not get charged in the beginning. I believed he was guilty of some crime but I didn’t want him charged because I felt this was a failure of the system to address the violence and homelessness in the subways

I live in a small-mid size city. We have a lot for our population. We have tent cities that the city has been fighting with for two decades on whether they can or can’t restrict where they pop up. Right now, the city is winning but the alcu keeps trying to stick their nose in it. Downstate, the alcu sued a city for throwing away possessions even after advanced notice was put up and had been announced for months. When some people didn’t move their stuff, they finally cleaned everything up and then people came forward and said valuable family heirlooms were destroyed and the alcu sued and got these people money.

Sometimes I cruise the neighborhood when I get bored and I almost can't believe it. The main streets downtown are gross with obvious homeless people everywhere and people passed out in random alleys and in front of businesses. But you get a few blocks beyond that and there's the tent cities and just random chaos. And so many businesses here are closed down or boarded up. Same with what used to be motels and various low income housing. It truly feels like a post apocalyptic environment here, and at one point I posted about how living in that environment while trying to stay/get sober was just maddening. You see really quickly how people end up the way they do. It's a grim environment. You know that you are not far away from one of these horrible outcomes yourself. And that offends my sensibilities tbh. I've been working hard since I was 16 years old. We deserve better than this. It's just so sad. The people that aren't in the cities, or that live in the area but have money have no idea how grim and hopeless it really is out here. I used to read about places like Detroit and shake my head but from what I gather that's pretty much any midsized or larger city these days.

My sympathy is usually with people who are this hideously ugly.
No wonder she's a lesbian, no respectable man would fuck her.
And people who know they are this ugly usually don't bother with taking jobs they're infront of cameras, or people, but especially children because they'll get scared.
She's actually in the right career field, but she should have been a prison guard. Female prisoners respect and fear others who are uglier than they are. It's the intimidation factor.
But she doesn't have my sympathy, because she's a leftist zealot who's releasing criminals with a slap on the wrist for them to abuse more innocent victims... rapists and murders are doing more raping and murdering...but somehow that is less disturbing than her face.
