Chandler Jones is listed at 6'5, Arthur at 6'3. Those are NFL listed heights. They are BOTH taller than Jon, unquestionably. I can buy Gus being 6'3, even if on the high end of that 3rd inch.

Looks like if he stood straight in the first pic he would be closer to Chandler's height.

If anyone's height is made up it's clearly Arthur Jones because I have trouble seeing him only 1 inch smaller than Jon and he is more than 2 inches smaller than Chandler.

My guesses : Jon 6'4, Chandler a strong 6'5 (6'5.25 to 6'5.5) Arthur 6'2.5

UFC needs to stop using inches imo, because the metric system is more detailed and easier imo, you can 2 people who are 6"2(weidman vs Anderson for example) but one of them is taller because hes really close to 6"3 while the other is just above 6"1 .
they should also measure each fighter's height and reach after the weigh in imo, so we can avoid 6"1 Hendo, 5"11 Anderson and 6"5 Carwin.

Yeah they should measured them, and tell the truth, but at least if they want to give them some inches boost they can gives everyone the same so it stays believable..

I've met Mir and he's a legit 6'3". I'm 6'5" and he was just a little shorter than me.

People lie so much about their own height. Everyone is like walking around telling each other they are 1 or 2 inches taller than they are. So when they see a guy who is actually 6'3 its easy to assume they are 6'5.
Just a theory, he might just have trouble converting it from centimeters.

I highly doubt Gus really knows how tall he is, as most fighters don't know themselves until someone actually measures for them. The UFC measured him and he's 6' 5" tall, it even says in the commercial.

Why would a regular person lie about their height? I can understand an athlete doing it to sound more imposing etc....but everyone whos ever told me their height has been pretty accurate.

To sound more imposing, to not sound short? I've personally called out a person who was fraudin his height, claiming to be my height when he was half a head shorter. His denial was so strong, he just added a few centimeters to my height to rationalize his own made up height. People are insecure, how does that come as a surprise?


I for one can't imagine how an athlete would dare do it since he is going to be caught publicly.

yes but you see the problem, if jones is only 6'2 shogun is under 5'10, I just can't see shogun being under 5'10 there was a huge height differece between shogun and jones. You do realize that if jones is only 6'2 that the average lhw is only 5'10 to 6 foot?

But in the same video Jones said he was 6'4". So is Jones lying or is Gus mistaken because he is use to using the metric system. I wonder why it's taken as scripture whem Gus says I'm 6'3" but no one believes Jones when he says I'm 6'4".
