Been spending the last few months in Craigslist hell, meeting strange buyers and seriously beating back a guitar collection that had gotten completely out of control over the years. Sold off dozens and dozens and dozens.

Here's what I kept, which is still pretty ridiculous since I basically only play 3 regularly, but can't anticipate buying any more, basically ever again in my life.

Electrics
2 Jackson Soloists
Charvel 650XL
Ibanez 540p-tc
Takamine GX200TB
68 Telecaster
72 Telecaster
Late 30's Recording King Electric Archtop

Acoustics
A few 1980's Ovations
79 Guild D50
A few luthier built classicals
1930's Kaykraft Venetian
Have a couple fully restored Romantic period guitars from about 1800-1830 or so that I couldn't quite bring myself to sell.

Amps:
Always been my weakness. Kept a Soldano rig, Roland JC120, early Peavey TNT 115 bass amp and a 1947 Masco MAP15 for a harp amp.

Sold off brands and vintages that were more 'prestigious' or that had bigger wow factor, but decided to play it straight objective and only keep what I felt best about playing, rather than a bunch of horded, ego driven bullshit meant to impress gear queers. These are the ones that made the cut after having owned and tried basically everything, once.

Anyway, that's me. Anyone else wanna share?

Ibanez RG321MH. It's alright, not amazing. Really want to get new pick ups though. Don't like them stock pick ups.

Too lazy to post my full set-up but these are my main workhorses

I'm playing on a Japanese custom shop schecter, and a Caparison(Japanese brand that is similar to Ibanez). I have an Ibanez Acoustic and an Allan Holdsworth model, but I rarely play them. I have a 7 string back in America that I really miss, but it's a pain in the ass getting it over here. Someday I'll have to just buy a new 7-string. I can't even remember the reason I stopped playing them.

A BC Rich N7 (7 strings) Warlock. I changed the two mics for an EMG 707 (EMG 85 for 7 strings) and a EMG 81-7 (obviously an EMG 81 for 7 strings). I still have my first Squier and another BC Rich guitar but I only play with my N7. I use a 5w Blackstar tube amp which is surprisingly enough for rehearsals. Since it's distortion is not what I need I have two pedals: a MXR Fullbore Metal and a Big Muff. Nobody will be surprised if I say I mostly play extreme metal and stoner/doom :icon_lol:

Right now, a Strat copy in dire need of an overhaul. The whole electronics package needs replacing (as in it doesn't work plugged in). I'd also like to eventually replace the vibrato with something less dollar-store quality, put a proper nut on it and maybe better tuners, too.

Basically the only good parts are the neck and body. But it strings up and holds tuning.

I don't like selling guitars. Here's a look at my tiny collection, it's hard to find good affordable guitars when you're left handed:

Top left: Yamaha Classical (first guitar bought)

Bottom Left: Fender Stratocaster LH (Mexico, sold a year ago)

From top going down:

Yamaha LH Bass
Takamine EC330 LH
Alembic Skylark Custom LH (my baby)
Norman 12-Strings LH
Ibanez AX7221 7-Strings (Right-handed turned lefty)
Takamine EC-132 CLH
Jackson DK2LH Dinky

Here's a closer look at the Alembic:

Sounds perfect on clean tone and a standard amp.

I'm playing a lot of Christmas songs lately, for family reunions, during holidays etc

Never heard of it but it looks quite nice. I dig.

Recently downsized as well. Got rid of my old Ibanez Jem 77FP (the flower one, if you're familiar with Jems), and my RGA8 which I had traded for an LTD-EC1000T.

This is what I currently have

Left to right; Ibanez RG-7320 (iirc), swapped out the standard Dimarzios for D-activator 7 in the bridge and PAF-7 in the neck

Music Man JP6 John Petrucci signature (best guitar I've ever played by far, supposedly the new ones are even better)

Takamine G-series electric/acoustic. It took a bad fall a couple years ago so now I just treat it like shit (hence the Dethrone stickers lol)

*edit and for amps I have a Mesa Boogie Mark V combo and an old Fender Bassman 4x10 that's sitting in my storage room. Due to me living in an apartment I usually play through Amplitube Metal (great software if you haven't checked it out)

Nothing too exotic. Gibson Les Paul, Ibanez Double Neck, and Fender El Rio acoustic. I also have a nice Steve Lukather signature Ibanez, not pictured, and a couple of bass guitars and a classical, also not pictured.

Gibson SG. Just love the shape. Plus mine is left-handed (had to send away for it).

An SG. A white one with EMG 81/85 pickups. Also a Casino with a Bigsby and P90's.

I'd say a double neck is pretty exotic. lol

Just got this a few weeks ago. I've also got a Fender acoustic and a POS Washburn acoustic for alternate tunings. Got a few more old electrics in my parent's attic. Can't bring myself to get rid of them due to sentimental value.

I'm a lefty so I don't have many options for guitars. I have a Fender Strat (Black with white pickguard), an Ibanez with Dual EMG 85's, an Ibanez Acoustic, and an Ibanez 4 string Bass.

Rickenbacher 4001 Bass
Pedulla MVP 365 Guitar (Bartolini Beasts, brass nut)
Fender Jazz Bass
Fender Tele (Fat fretted with Duncans and No load pots)
Gibson 335 custom shop
Hamer 335 with Duncans
Taylor 315 with rair earth
Charvel Surfcaster (Lipsticks)
Gibson SG custom shop reissue
Fender Duo Sonic with P-90s
a bunch of cigar box guitars
