Been spending the last few months in Craigslist hell, meeting strange buyers and seriously beating back a guitar collection that had gotten completely out of control over the years. Sold off dozens and dozens and dozens.
Here's what I kept, which is still pretty ridiculous since I basically only play 3 regularly, but can't anticipate buying any more, basically ever again in my life.
Electrics
2 Jackson Soloists
Charvel 650XL
Ibanez 540p-tc
Takamine GX200TB
68 Telecaster
72 Telecaster
Late 30's Recording King Electric Archtop
Acoustics
A few 1980's Ovations
79 Guild D50
A few luthier built classicals
1930's Kaykraft Venetian
Have a couple fully restored Romantic period guitars from about 1800-1830 or so that I couldn't quite bring myself to sell.
Amps:
Always been my weakness. Kept a Soldano rig, Roland JC120, early Peavey TNT 115 bass amp and a 1947 Masco MAP15 for a harp amp.
Sold off brands and vintages that were more 'prestigious' or that had bigger wow factor, but decided to play it straight objective and only keep what I felt best about playing, rather than a bunch of horded, ego driven bullshit meant to impress gear queers. These are the ones that made the cut after having owned and tried basically everything, once.
Anyway, that's me. Anyone else wanna share?
