I started doing Guerilla cardio about 3 months ago.

I haven't lifted wieghts at all and my arms are getting bigger! Could this be from the guerilla cardio?

I've heard that doing too much cardio over about 30-50min a day and your body will start taking away muscle. That is why marathon runners have the body types that they do vs. Sprinters.

Is it possible that guerilla cardio has the INVERSE effect and you actually BUILD muscle? It seems like it makes some sense because during a sprint you have maximum intensity on your muscles and maybe its not weight per se, it still works your muscles enough to cause hypertrophy. Just a thought.

depends how your eating and what type of excersises you are doing i guess.

chessplayer. How is your endurance after 3 months Guerilla cardio? Is it much improved ?

wow, i just looked this up and it's tabbata.

i just started doing tabbata with sprints half a week ago and i'm still burning from that first session.

no they explain some backround info on Tabata. Their program is sprints 3x a week using the tabata protocol.

Have you put on any weight or anything? I've been meaning to try guerilla cardio after coach d posted it but I've been too lazy.

Put on weight?

If you want to kill yourself, then yes put a weight vest on and run.

lol, i think he ment your body putting on wieght. but yeah adding wieght to yourself would be a real bitch

Endurance?

Well I haven't wrestled since May so I can't give a very accurate answer as I would if I had competed. But I have been out riding my Mtn. Bike and the areas that I ride my stamina is amazing. I power up hills and just don't get tired. It really does give you better cardio.

My brother said "Your ripped". I'm 31 and haven't had a six pack until about a couple months ago. I've always had a layer covering my abs, now they show. Last time I had abs was high school which doesn't count because your still growing.

I'm so ripped my Dad goes "wow", my brother and Dad DO NOT give compliments easy. Usually they make fun of me.

i think he used the bikeing as kind of a means to guage his progress as far as stamina goes.

Useing the tabbata sprints to improve cardio and useing mtn bikeing to see how much the cardio has actually improved.

Haha. I emant have you put on body weight. That may be a reason for bigger arms. Maybe you're also burning fewer calories this way than you were previously.

My bad Lmao.

I just started these so I don't know yet, but according to all studies I read, it really didnt have much to do with hypertrophy or muscle building.

It's more like body toning and fat loss in my opinion.

I'm about to do Tabata intervals for the first time this morning. The exercise of choice today will be Thrusters, using some tiny-ass 5-pound dumbbells. I was going to go heavier, but a friend advised that me until I'd tried Tabata a few times, I should keep the weight as low as possible.

If I'm capable of typing, I'll let you guys know how it went.

How many times a week do you guys train guerrilla cardio? What is the difference between GC and Tabatha(sp)? Sorry I couldn't find anything on google.

Guerilla radio is Tabata.

edit- actually a form of tabata.

2 or 3 times I guess.
