It's already been 10 years since UFC 87. I rewatched that fight last night and I have to say, it's probably GSP's most entertaining and dominant fight.

I didn't realize how much of a beating Fitch took but damn. Dude is a warrior. Thought it would be worth making some gifs.

Props to Fitch for being such a warrior. GSP nearly gassed himself at some point from teeing off on his head. I tried to find some Fitch highlights but there wasn't really any. Some good exchanges but it was mostly all GSP in this fight.

GSP's sprawl is the smoothest thing since baby butts were invented.

He just beat Fitch's ass for 25 minutes without stopping
 
Masterclass performance. Gsp has so many cool moves.
 
I seem to remember in the post-fight press conference GSP said that Fitch just kept getting back up like "ee waz zee Terminator".

Fitch really took a beating.

This probably my favorite part. Fitch had just stood up and was on woobly legs after receiving a beating on the ground and GSP starts throwing this combo but Fitch still won't go away.

Tremendous performance...Arguably the best of his career.

Fitch was tied for longest win streak in UFC history going into that fight, crazy how it turned out.
 
Crazy thing is, Fitch was at that point 18-2 with 16 fights win streak.

GSP scored a 50-43 win when 10-8 rounds were rare as fuck.

GSP is the fucking best.
 
Fitch couldn’t ‘andle de riddum

Took his beat down like a warrior though and was the #2 WW in the world for a while afterwards

Underrated talent who would have been champ if he didn’t run into the goat

So was it ever established what is flying out of Fitche's mouth in this gif? It wasn't his mouth-guard nor does it's shape really looked like a tooth.
 
If there's one fight that showcases GSP's complete MMA toolbox, it has to be this one.

It’s very impressive to beat someone so thoroughly for 15 or 25 minutes, but not be able to finish them.

Yeah yeah
Fitch is incredibly tough and GSP isn't a big finisher

Still an incredibly fun fight live, and exciting to see just how much someone could kick the shit out of someone else and them not go away
 
Omg I would never watch those two boring lay and prayers in a match. On second though maybe the boring in both of them canceled each other out and they had an armature no power kickboxing match. Kinda like an WMMA bout but with men..
