Got abducted by aliens on like day 3 and taken into a time warp hyperspace kind of thing where .01 second of earth time is equivalent to 5 days of alien time, so he technically did 8 days and no one even knew he was gone. I bet the haters won't acknowledge that, though.
He did a video on insta, gave up day 5 because he had trouble sleeping but then found out guys who are as active as he is should only do 5 days anyway.
He might have been able to finish 7 days if he didnt train (which he did) . Most people who do strict water fasts like that just stay in bed / couch the entire time.
That's part of the fast. I've done a 4 day hard dry fast to heal an edema condition and I only slept for an hour or two a night. Still impressive he made it this long for his first prolonged fast.
this man has fasted for 120 days and is currently stilll fasting
I did a 57 hour water/cold pressed green juice fast a year ago. Dropped 9 pounds then went vegan for a month to drop another 5-6. Now I’m 80-20 plant-meat based.
The first day was the hardest. Day 2 around lunch time was a little hard. I coulda gone 3 days but I accomplished what I wanted (drop 8-10 pounds in 2 days)
The science behind fasting is very much still up in the air because it hasn't been studied extensively. Recent research indicates that long term water fasting may be beneficial for certain diseases like type 2 diabetes. While I'm certainly not claiming that fasting would heal colitis, it's not out of the realm of possibility that going periods of time without food going through the digestive track could give it a better opportunity to repair than constantly having food move through it.
