Robocop has gone through some shit and probably was in the zone. I don't even think it was personal. Also, tons of guys have been punched in throats in fights and I don't recall many that were serious like other damage. Some guys get in weird mental zones in a fight and don't realize it until its over. Robocop hasn't always done it like this.

Anyways refs job is to prevent this shit and all he has to do is watch the fight. If he hit him after a breakup, fine, crucify the guy. That's what Palhares did. We've seen weird shit were guys look out and come alive after. Not a fighters job to pull punches, unless they wanna look cool like Hunt walking off.

No different when horrible refs don't call fights and the guy has to get punched 100x before its called. You have to keep attacking until it's called. Or you get dumb shit like Silva celebrating his win over Bisping.
