Rumored Gregor Gillespie teasing return at Madison Square Garden in November

Jared Gordon is one of the most boring LWs on the roster and having him face Gillespie would be a waste of everyone's time.

You can't compare Gregor to someone like Jones or Stipe lol. Those guys are champs/former champs. Gregor has accomplished pretty much nothing.

Gordon might be boring, but Gregor himself has put on some performances that weren't far off boring as well. Not all of his fights were as exciting as the one against Diego.

Diego wasn't elite either. Outside of that win, Gregor's best win is Vinc Pichel.

I'd happily watch him fight any of them, but I don't think he deserves any of those guys you mentioned anymore. Maybe Fevola.

Well I didn't say give Gregor a shot at Islam, I said give him someone at his level.

Dawson is still the fight I most want to see but supposing I agreed with you, and Gillespie fought and beat Frevola, if he's actually committed to fighting regularly for a change he needs to be right back in the mix in the top 10.

Man, if he ran through Fevola, I'd be cool with him getting back to where he was quick.

I feel like he's going to be asking for someone higher than that though. I guess we'll see.

Gillespie has 2 fight of the night and 2 performance of the night bonuses in his wins. Kevin Lee got the performance of the night against Gillespie. 5 of his 8 fights their were bonus awarded and yet people think his fights are boring. Opposite is true. Your pretty much guaranteed an exciting fight.

His fight against Medeiros was a snooze fest until the finish but that was much more about Yancy
 
Guy puts on good performances, so I'm interested. He chose to manage his career in such a manner that greatly diminished his chances of contending at the top, but so what? I'll enjoy a Gregor Gillespie fight for what it is, and that's it.
 
As long as he accepts a lower ranked / unranked opponent it would be great to see him back. Hope he's not still holding out for to a top 10 guy like he was after CDF. Shame he lost all his momentum after the Lee fight and big layoff.

He's a dog but he has almost run out of time in this weight class given his age, if he's going to do something he's gotta get moving ASAP so I hope we see him again.

Gregor most recently fought in May 2021, a second-round TKO of Carlos Diego Ferreira. He was removed from the rankings around July-August 2022 due to inactivity but had climbed as high as #8 before that.

I was a big fan when he first hit the scene but this whole thing he's been pulling turned me off.
Can't follow a guy if he doesn't care about his own career, no matter how talented he is.

And what has he done recently to deserve a fight at MSG? Oh yeah, fuck all. Also his posts are lame as fuck with the 'ooh someone was filming me without me knowing' bullshit.
 
I hate to say it but I can't help but wonder if his inexplicable inactivity while the window on his career closes has anything at all to do with addiction. It is really unusual for a guy to be that inactive during the limited prime years he has/had remaining.
