by 18 title defenses you mean 3 PRIDE heavyweight title defenses and a GP win and 2 WAMMA title defenses against Rogers and Arlovski amirite?
 
there should be a couple of other guys on here that are being ignored

You can't question Hendo as an option, he has the greatest resume of wins in mma given his size.

yes, they are. Recent performances have clouded your vision, Randy and BJ, while they don't have cases for being the GOAT as strong as a guy like Fedor, GSP or Anderson, are certainly in the GOAT discussion

Also, TS I think you should have added Big Nog over Hendeson.

GSP might have wins over better opponents(WW is a sharktank) but Anderson has wins over really good opponents and did it in devastating fashion.
i'd give GSP a 9.5 for opponents he faced, and Anderson a 8.5-ish, but Anderson does get some bonus points for almost finishing every fight he had(GSP also gets bonus points for being so dominant, but looking unbeatable and finishing > looking unbeatable but UD's), being Undefeated in the UFC from 2006 to 2013, being the first to KO vitor(with a front kick), Making a top 5 lhw look like he shouldn't even belong in the UFC, and having a ridicously amount of hate on the internet lol. Plus he faced the people i mentioned in their weightclass, not in his own(like GSP and Penn).

What i meant with that was that the average MMA fan/sherdogger thinks of GSP/Anderson/Fedor when they talk about GOATS, nothing against BJ or Randy, they definitely belong to the group of Greatest mixed martial artists of All Time, but the title of GOAT(as in one person) belongs to GSP/Anderson/Fedor.


Hendo is also someone who i consider an ATG(all time great) but i dont consider him someone who should be brought up when talking about who is the GOAT.
 
btw ShagginTurtles, you forgot to mention that St-Pierre tko'd and submitted Hughes, who basically was the WW GOAT back then.
