Great Another rampage vs jones 2

probably man, im not hating on rumble, just keeping it real, we have seen this type of fighter fight the same guy.... He just wont handle it well, if he don't beat gus in first round, he gets destroyed, hell i honestly think it was a lucky punch coming out of that eye poke/headbutt.

Really disappointed by this, out of all the billions of rematches ufc has been having, gus vs jones is one of the few that actually should have happened.

You're not "keeping it real" at all. All you're doing is spitting out your opinion like it's the truth. Pretty sure a majority of veteran MMA fans and Sherdoggers would agree that Rumble and Rampage (mind you, I'm a huge Rampage fan) are completely different animals. Rumble doesn't telegraph and wind up his punches. They're shorter, crisper, more accurate, and honestly probably hit harder. AJ has great movement and does an awesome job cutting off the octagon without chasing. There was nothing "lucky" about it. You could tell from the beginning that Rumble had control via him walking Gus down and controlling the center of the octagon. Gus didn't land one substantial strike...

Rampage has not been very dangerous with his stand up against anyone worth mentioning in quite a while

There may have been a day where Rampage could have knocked Rumble out, but i seriously doubt that is the case anymore, Rumble is on too much of a roll and Rampage is going the opposite way

Keeping it real fake. You are obviously a mauler fan. Nothing about last night indicated that he would have done better if the fight went on.

I think Rampage can take rumble's shots

I don't think rumble can take rRampage's shots

Lmao. You cannot be serious.

Rampage has better chin than rumble

Even by Sherdog logic, this makes no sense

Rumble's never been KOd or rocked in a fight

It's like you guys havent watched Rampage since he knocked out Wanderlei. He hasn't looked impressive since several years before he fought Jones. Current day Rumble is a beast.

I think Rampage can take rumble's shots

Based on what? Rumble has never been rocked, Rampage was dropped by short Glover hooks in his second last ufc fight.

Rumble all day if that ever goes down

This reminds me of the "What does Johnson have to offer Gus that Manuwa didn't?" that a bunch of folks made fools out of themselves in... but I guess I'll bite...

They are two completely different fighters, Johnson uses kicks Page doesn't, AJ is much less plodding and by the time Rampage fought Jones he was past his prime and the only way I could describe his fights around that time is: uninspired, Johnson seems like he's got a fire and a chip on his shoulder...

Don't sleep on AJ, he's got a tough row to hoe in facing Jones but the dude is proving everyone wrong each step he takes toward the title shot... I think it's a great story, from middling WW to HW to top 205# contender... It's pretty great to see a guy rebuild his career like this... Reminds me of Lawler's recent run, good stuff

Rampage is one of my all-time favorites. With that said, the Rampage that fought Jones wasn't as good as current Rumble. He wasn't hungry, was too easily frustrated, and was obviously slowing down with age. He'd rather complain about getting kicked in a potentially dangerous yet legal area than fight his ass off.

Is this because their both black?? Because you cant be talking about there style of fighting right??lol

Rumble is a power puncher. Rampage is a hard puncher. I wouldn't want to be hit by either. But really think if Rumble is swinging like he was last night. I will be looking for Bones head somewhere in the stands. War Rumble. Good to see him bak not tryin to cut weight like used to

I'ts like Page and Glover all over again, people still dreaming a 1 punch KO would beat Jones. Wake up fools!

Wait so if they're doing another rampage vs jones 2 wouldn't there have to be an actual rampage vs jones 2 before they do another one?

Rumble is a much better striker, he knows how to close the distance, he has more power, and he actually throws jabs and kicks.

He is better then Rampage.

Lol just because they are both muscular, black and fighting at 205 doesn't make them the same smarty pants.

Rumble moves a lot quicker, he cuts off the octagon a lot better, and he is on an absolute wrecking path right now...

When is the last time you seen Rampage go upstairs with a kick? k thanks.

Also there careers are at completely different points (when they fought/will fight Jones)

Rumble has better footwork to cut off the cage and get inside, he has better speed, he has better kicks, and he also has better TDD than the Rampage that fought jones. I'd wager that he punches harder too.

bro jones rampage I was a awesome fight.

had good hype and rampage looked in great shape. he was gun shy though and jones choked him out cold

Before the Jones fight I thought Rampage had lost his touch in the stand up after he lost to Rashad he was more tentative and didn't really involve. Even though Rampage got the title shot he didn't do anything really impressive before hand. Johnson is improving fight after fight. He may be able to match Jones' pure strength and grip. Johnson vs. Jones will be competitive If Jones wins please move up to heavyweight
