I mean honestly, whats the difference between rampage and rumble? Both big, both dont have the best gas tank for 5 round fight. Both predictable and slow, jones distance fighting is gona destroy him, jones wont try to brawl with him, nor will he get headbutted.

We seen this fight already, we already know how it goes down, easy fight for jones he dodged a bullet.
 
Call me crazy but if Rampage and rumble stood and banged I got Rampage coming out on top
 
One glide from Rumble = 3 of Rampage's slow, and methodical steps.

Rampage moved like a 45 year old man by the time he fought Jones.

Rumble got to Gus and cut him off like his life depended on it. Rampage would've been content with slowly following him all night while he got picked apart from range. Oh yeah, don't forget a few of his patented desperation lunging hooks that miss by 4 feet, then he resets again, and looks at his opponent like he's running, when in actuality, he has the foot speed of a geriatric.
 
You calling rumble slow? Cant take the rest serious.
 
Since moving to LHW he is undefeated and has won 8 straight, 3 of those TKO's and 3 KO's, 4 of those in the first round, GTFO!

probably man, im not hating on rumble, just keeping it real, we have seen this type of fighter fight the same guy.... He just wont handle it well, if he don't beat gus in first round, he gets destroyed, hell i honestly think it was a lucky punch coming out of that eye poke/headbutt.

Really disappointed by this, out of all the billions of rematches ufc has been having, gus vs jones is one of the few that actually should have happened.

Rampage's power is over rated.
Rumble closes the distance fast.
Rumble is not timid like Rampage.
Rumble actually trains and lifts, bro.
Rumble is a kickboxer, not a brawler.
 
Some people just still haven't realized the kind of beast AJ has become over the last few years. The only thing I see holding him back is a possibly questionable gas tank. If he expands a lot of energy and can't finish his opponent semi-early that could come into play. Otherwise he looks phenomenal in all phases: power, striking technique, movement, and TDD. The ideal skill set for a sprawl and brawler.

Dude got Rocked by Jardine, Evans and by freaking Jones.

Rumble just walked through a Gus uppercut. he ate a couple of flush Kos bombs as a drained welterweight and took shots from Arlovski and still came forward.

Rumble flat out annihilates old Rampage.
 
I think Rumbles better than Rampage has ever been. Rampage was way past his prime when he fought Jones. By your comparison, this would be like Jones vs a super prime Rampage in Rumble.

Rampage got decisioned by Glover. I can't imagine Rumble doing the same

He has way more TDD (stopped all Davis' attempts) and he is faster. Not only that but he has more reach (almost the same as Gus).
 
What exactly is it about Jones' style that you think will gas Johnson out?

I mean, if he just straight up outclasses him and beats his ass, sure. Anybody gets tired after receiving an ass beating round after round. But it's not like Jones sets a frenetic pace otherwise.
 
Anyone comparing Rumble to Rampage is an idiot. Two very different fighters.
