GOTHAM (Season 3 Premieres Sept. 19)

Dragon, you'll be happy to know Alfred is training young Bruce in the art of Nolan Batman punches.

It was a boring episode until near end. I liked the riddler storyline and I am reminded of the whole Maroni saying "Indian hill, I'll give you Indian hill" to Falcone last season. Is it safe to assume the end has something to do with Falcone family business?

I was hoping they wouldn't kill off Ms.Kringle so soon. I didn't like that Nygma revealed he killed her ex right there. He should have lied and said he forced him to skip town.

Boring episode but I guess its not the court of owls.

I called Court of Owls for a future Big Bad back while Season 1 was still running. Makes perfect sense; the Court has existed for centuries, so they are not tied to a specific period of Bruce Wayne's life. And the Talons would make great villains.

I knew Jermoe was not the Joker but wished that they DID though since he's doing a good job at it.

I really like psycho Barbara more than the normal but annoying version. Also find her more attractive than before.

The 2nd episode with the precinct lost its impact since that precinct has been attacked many times already. Worst security ever.

Isn't there a theory that the Joker is actually some kind of demon that possess human hosts throughout history, with the one Batman faces only being the latest?

Maroni and Falcone seemed to be under the impression that Indian Hill was "a toxic waste dump on top of an Indian burial ground".

Now it would seem that was a cover story to keep people away from the area so nobody runs into the Wayne Enterprises' secret super-villain factory.

Is it likely that Killer Croc and/or Bane are down in that basement?

They explored him being an immortal demon in ENDGAME.

Pretty bad episode. Lots of stupid wtf moments and cliches.

Selina and Firefly robbing the sex slave den without concealing their identities. A building full of criminals with guns surrendering to the duo.

Miss Kringle's reaction to Edward's confession was so dumb, which resulted in her death was very cliche.

I think Butch is free from Penguin's brainwash and is setting up a trap for Cobblepot.

I've heard about that comic book theory or maybe read it in a Elseworld story, I dunno.

But for Gotham, I think they are sticking with Jerome influenced the real Joker origin story.

I haven't been following the comics lately, did they push through with the Joker is immortal angle?

That would spoil ENDGAME. http://www.amazon.com/Batman-Vol-En...qid=1445999581&sr=1-1&keywords=batman+endgame

Joker is found in many old newspaper photos from like 100 years ago. Joker easily survives stuff that should kill him (Shotgun blast to the head, etc), and the story makes you think he might be a demon until the end. But he's not.

I think it's certainly worth exploring in terms of future film directions as well as comic story development. Instead of being one individual, I like the idea of Joker being a malevolent mind demon that moves from one host to another. It will up the creepy dimension much more.

It was creepy with the people talking about each of their first experience with "The Pale Man" (Joker). Like meeting the devil in different ways.

was that fucking wack ass Fish Mooney at the end being taken to Indian Hills?

I definitely think galavant and his sister somehow reconditioned butch and he is setting a trap for penguin now.

It certainly feels like that's what we're supposed to think.

I don't like that idea, it would ruin the character for me. I appreciate that the Batman universe runs deep with mysticism, but for me, it's a very mortal story that explores the very extremes of the human psyche.

Fun fact: That's exactly how Dexter works in the (terrible, terrible) books. His "dark passenger" is actually a supernatural essence that actually abandons Dexter for an entire book, leaving him weak and pathetic, begging for it's return.

What the fuck. For real?

The Dexter threads always had people saying how good the books were. Whoever decided to leave that part out of the show saved it.

They lied, the books were utter garbage, all of them.

Steaming piles of excrement.
