Awesome man! Have you competed often? What do you feel is your best accomplishment so far?
Like the title says I got my purple belt and well I am very happy about it of course. I kinda knew it was coming because my professor had hinted at it but now its true. I will try my best to represent it well but I kind of feel a bit nervous about it. At blue I was super happy but I felt a blue belt was "nothing" but now ppl expect a purple to kick ass and know alot. At the same time i am excited to continue training and improving.
For the usual questions ive been training around 3 years and 3-4 months total about 3 times a week. I watch instructionnal / matchs often like most ppl on here and I feel it helped me get better faster. It may be a bit fast I dont know, I will trust my professor and just do my best.
hmm I've actually got a few questions..
What is one thing in your training process that really stood out as helping you learn efficiently? For example, was there a particular way of sparring, or drilling? Was it private lessons? Were there a lot of higher belts available to help mentor?
Is there a curriculum of any sort at your school?
recently i've become really interested in the training/learning process of BJJ (well, learning process in general). I guess I'm just curious about the way all the different schools out there teach and train. Being able to advance as fast as you did is great! I am very interested in how the process went
Solid brag dude ! I train pretty much the same time and i'm a white belt :icon_chee
Ari gold would be a black belt
