Today, after the GOP sicking nearly every party dog on the Donald and following the leak that vulnerable Republican congressmen are being encouraged to campaign against the rise of Trump within the Republican ranks, the GOP released a video of black Republicans presumably as a reaction to the supposed reluctance of Trump to wholly disavow himself from a recent KKK endorsement.

While the media has portrayed this as mobilization of the anti-Trump GOP base, it could just as easily be interpreted as mere damage control.

My central question is this: have you ever seen a politician gone after this hard by the party for which he's seeking nomination? Honestly, I've never seen even any Democrat receive this level of direct vitriol and interference from the GOP. He's venturing into Barack Obama territory. It's actually quite stunning how much effort they've put into derailing the Donald's possible nomination. While the DNC has certainly allocated a fair amount of time and resources into preventing an anti-corporation Independent from earning their nomination, the GOP has been very open and notorious in their hatred of Trump.

Crazy times indeed.

The more they do this kind of stuff, the more votes he's gonna get. People, in general, don't like being told who to vote for or what is right and what is wrong. These kind of things have recently made register as an Independent. I'm done with GOP

It's Drumpf not Trump bro.

Obama was just a difference in ideology. Trump is that and a difference in values/character. The party sees how well they could be positioned with younger diverse politicians like Cruz and Rubio and see that next decade of progress being smashed by a bigot going for broke and using the party as hostage.

Tend to agree with this. These supporters are largely still in the tank for Trump simply because they don't want to admit how stupid it was to originally support him. They support a candidate that prefers being a dick first before being right and they seem to vote accordingly the same way.

Is this meme for real?

Sounds like something a 12-year-old would come up with.

Obama's close ties to Jeremiah Wright say hello.

It's for real bro. Google it it's his families real last name before his grandfather changed it. There's a thread about that british dude from The Daily Show who rips Trump a new one it's gold.

I hope this is sarcasm.

Just shows how desperate the establishment has become. Drumpf? That's their put-down?

As Shakespeare once said,"A rose by any other name..."

This will only make his white base like him more

Watch this video it's great.

Good. I hope it impacts the GOP minority votes. I hope this asshole doesn't reach 1,237 because in the event of a "draw" he doesn't have a chance in hell of getting the nomination. Trump should understand this from his casinos. He wanted to be the player, not the house.

Well, push goes to the house.

Trump goes into convention with the delegate lead, even if he doesn't have 1237, and he comes out of it running for president whether it's as a repub or indy.

First Ted Cruz and the Tea Party invasion. Now Trump. The old GOP has lost control. They still have a name, but it is no longer a cohesive political party.

If they were smart they would dissolve the old party and re-brand themselves.

If they nominated Kasich he could easily pivot to the left during the GE. He could pull enough votes away from Hillary and Trump so that no one could get the required 270 electoral votes. In that case the House would decide, and voila GOP 2.0 wins the election.

At least he went to a church. The other never asked for forgiveness and seems far more religious now that he's in a campaign.

A re-branded GOP could also cut a deal with the center left democrats to go after Trump in exchange for a much more moderate supreme court pick, and perhaps even a deal on senate elections.

At least he went to a church.

I wouldn't call Wright's sermons particularly good "church material."

Dude thinks Jesus was black, talks politics in his sermons non-stop, and is a self-victimizing, self-loathing racist.

Well Jesus certainly wouldn't have been pasty white.

So that makes a Jewish guy black?

I swear, it's like arguing with children in this place sometimes.
