Good Shoes for adults

I'm not that knowledgeable in the boots department. Based on the simple styling of the Clarks, what are some other solid brands that are comparable and reasonably priced?

And that is very cheap! I figured it would be at least a few hundred bucks.

i dont know, currently the only pair of shoes i own (besides sneakers, which i only own nike) are clarks, haha. check out 6pm, browse that, they have a good selection.

These look nice. Boots are always heavy though and tend to have 0 ankle cushioning.

I have a pair in black. They are pretty damn comfortable. The leather breaks in really nicely.

You might be put off by the price, but these will last you YEARS. You can send them back to Red Wing for repairs/reconditioning.

They're pretty damn versatile too. They look good with jeans & khakis, t-shirts, and button-downs.

Another pair of (cheaper) boots you may want to look into are Palladium Boots

I have the "Baggy" in brown suede.

I'd vote for the redwings, as they're built better than just about anything. If you like the style of boots but don't want to bother lacing up every day, timberland makes a whole line of side-zipper boats for us lazy types:

Timberland leather is about half as thick as redwing, so they're lighter but won't last as long.

Alberto guardiani
Roberto botticelli
Cesare paciotti

Those are the best

Got them in Cologne, went with my bro and a friend after Christmas. Bit too metrosexual for me but it's a great city to get clothes and especially adidas.

Cologne is a great city! Don't know about it being metrosexual, lol. Didn't even know they had those in Germany, lmao. Maybe I was just too drunk while I was there to notice.
I might buy those too if I can find them. Might be a good excuse to go to Cologne again. :icon_chee

First of all, I'm 33 years old. I tend to dress a little young for my age just because I prefer the style and comfort. Not to mention, I have a baby face. With that said for the time in my life, someone commented on my shoes being for kids the other day. Normally that kind of stuff doesn't bother me but it did kind of make me think I should grow up a little bit style wise.

Comfort is big to me and even though I don't skate, I like the boxing/puffy type shoes. I also like plain designs with one or two colors max. Grey/white, black/white, white/white, etc. Basically anything that looks good with jeans and feels comfortable to walk in. No shitty Converse Chucks which kill your feet.

This is what I have currently. As a grown ass man, what are some good suggestions to enter adulthood?

Dude I have the exact same problem. I don't like crazy looking shoes, just a couple of colors and whatnot. I just feel like I'm still wearing kids shoes sometimes. When I look through this thread, almost all these shoes look horrible to me or even if they look cool, they aren't my style at all. I'm wearing ones similar to these right now. Mine just don't have the white on top.

No I meant that clothing shopping is a bit too metro for me.

Takes about an hour to drive from here, My bro and the other guy know the way in the city and there's lots of parkinglots there most of em are very narrow though.

Can't be much longer from where you're at, you're also closer to the randstad and hell actually live in a decent city :P

I have a ton of coworkers that say Sanuk loafers are some of the most comfortable shoes they've ever worn.

I haven't tried them because fuck paying $70 for shoes. I prefer some regular old canvas Vans.

You guys should give these a shot. DC Villains. You can wear them with prettty much anything, and they are VERY comfortable, theyre pretty much slippers you can wear when you go out. They come in a bunch of colors.

Other than flip-flops, these are typically the only three different kinds of shoes I wear for work/casual/gym:

I tear through those kinds of shoes in about 3 months of regular use.

Skater shoes last me at least x4 as long

The price you pay looking good as a business professional man with a little bit of style.
