Going Rogue

The funny thing is that my psychologist wants me to give up on those high goals and live with the disease instead of against it. There is lots of logic behind that (would be too complicated too explain) but it is impossible for me to imagine to stop fighting without resignation instead. He says that I could keep on liftign but stop measauring with the healthy lifters. That I should accept that there are limitations. But I cant. The strength and conditioning I have now is nothing compared to most of you guys. I dont care about handicap or whatever. You are better. Period. And I want to be as good or even better one day. Things like "good under those conditions" are biased. Eihter you are capable of lifitng the weight or not. And Im a bloody beginner and I see no point in keeping on lifting and never passing the beginner status.

When I will ever be able to make my plan true and travel through the US I will do some sherdogtraineesgym hopping. So be prepared to open the door one day and face a guy asking wether he can use your weights and rack located in your garage :D

Arent guns allowed for anyone in the US (at leats in many states)? Of course I will buy you a gun as well. Then we go to "your" gym - do some cleaning - And then we lift.

It's true, you're far more fit than me (probably cardio, definitely CHINS, bench and a few others).

I never really know what to tell you regarding your illness, because it's something I've luckily never had to deal with. The one thing that I can tell you, is that you don't give yourself the credit for how much you've done. I know people who are your age who are healthy and in that group you're comparing yourself to, and don't measure up to your knees. The point is, regardless of what you're comparing yourself to, you aren't doing all that bad.

MAybe Im strong compared to the average male but Im no strong compared to the average person lifting weights. And thats what I do. Im not good at what Im doing. Not yet. What I wanted to say is that I dont train to be good for a person suffering from UC but I train to be good.
 
Wow i never knew that this thread was also prone to deep discussions like this, i thought it was mostly about acting teh ghey in private.
