Glutes for the Slutes Squat/overhead press Competition

So after this is over going to focus on deadlift
What’s a good exercise for breaking the floor sumo? Never seen deficit sumo. Is hat a thing?
Yeah it’s a thing. Mike Isreatel recommends it as a glute hypertrophy exercise. I’ve used it before
 
Probably just gonna run Smolov again. There’s about 11 weeks between now and December, using 600 rather than 545 as my max

Noted. I did block pulls off of a five inch block, best guess (used my phone to compare) and got up to 765 which is all the bar would hold. So those are probably useless with that block. That’s a big swing between my max deadlift and that.

Yeah that’s almost some rack pull above above the knee shit. Smolov again because everything else seems like cheap whiskey.
 
Five inch blocks are probably good for the Oly lifts since you have to generate force over such a short amount of distance

Don’t know why I’m chasing squat so hard. I already met my goal and added 55lbs to my entry weight. I should start pressing more before I don’t end up adding anything. I believe my entry weight was 280lbs or 290.

It’s actually not that bad this time around. I may only run the base cycle which is only 3 weeks and then a max.
 
4 sets of 9 with 420lbs on Monday, 5 sets of 7 with 450lbs today. Not nearly as bad as I thought and these weights are already heavier than what I ended the base cycle with the first time.

I buried the 600lbs after the Smolov base cycle. I’d already bounced 615 off the back of my head before I tried that 635 so I was a little timid on the descent.
 
Test day of my 8s wave in juggernaut, hit 264lbs for 10. So i'm up from 319lbs to 339lbs on my tm.

Gonna double my squat load to try and boost my gains. Gained about 10lbs in the last couple months so the diet is on point. Onwards and upwards, then downwards, then upwards again.

Sherdog has begun hiding posts and you have to click a prompt to see them. I don’t know what the rationale is but it happened to me the other day. There was a prompt that said “there are other posts to view in this thread, do you want to view them?”
 
I don’t know if I need to D load week or if I just had an off day or if losing fat finally caught up to me but today was a crappy squat day. 455 for doubles beltless. Everything felt awful

Yeah but if I don’t turn around quickly I’m going to miss my squat goal of 550. Hit the press one though. So 25 pounds on the press gained and 35 on squat. Really wanted that quarter on there without having to be a fat ass.

For the depth zealots. This is my 4th set out of 7 of 5 reps with 480lbs. First 3 sets were beltless but felt my lower back getting a pump so I threw the belt on for the last 4 sets.
