The sad thing is, the viewer pulling power (whatever little) of the card hasn't changed so long as Schilling and Berry are on it.

Thats bullshit too, the card is fucked, the drawing power was Levin and they cant even name the fighters for the tourny they are supposed to have.

The local ticket sales may not change but if you think Schilling was selling TV you are drunk.

Schilling is the draw for american fans/television viewers. Pretty much nobody in the US knows who Levin is. There is some detriment in losing the title fight, but that is not what you meant. If you think Levin was the US TV draw you are out of your mind.

You're right, but I'm still pissed. I was always on the "It's ok for Glory to put on budget shows" train, but at this point I don't really care anymore.

Do you even watch the fights? or just look at results?

In JLB's retirement match the ref didn't count 1 knockdown the jerome himself knew to be one as after he got up he went to the conner to gather his wits as he was expecting a count from the ref. Then next round he gets down again where the ref presides to make a 10 count last well over 30 seconds. Then after the count he still gave le banner more time to recuperate.

Levin was not on form last time he fought in the US. He's been training in the US. Lets be honest, there are very very few top level sparring partners available for Levin in the US. A convenient injury because his management was fearful he would get his ass kicked by Schilling and lose his belt in the US? Maybe. Probably. But who knows. Certainly for a champion belt holder I think Glory is doing the right thing by rolling with it and giving him the benefit of the doubt. BTW Levin doesn't even speak English how can this guy be a helpful marketing draw in the US? For nerd ass fight fans like us who are the minority, sure, but for the casual and semi-advanced fan, they just don't know him. He is not gonna draw eyeballs on US networks. Its hometown west coast homey Mr. Joseph Schilling.

So instead Glory has Schilling fighting Wilnis. That is an AMAZING bout. Both guys have skills and like to brawl. Schilling can try his skills against a top class Dutch kickboxer. Personally I think Schilling can win, but he will have to really show his skillz and heart and fight smart.

Besides, does everyone forget he got CLOCKED and KNOCKED OUT last time at Bella-whatsit. It was a big bold call from Glory matchmakers to give Schilling a title shot for the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP BELT directly after that Bellator disaster. So in a way, this worked out for the better. Schilling can fight another guy to warm himself back up after his KO (clearly Levin's management is way smarter than Schilling's lol). Soon after, the winner of this bout is gonna fight Levin for the belt, he can't run from that. So its pretty promising for the chase for the world middleweight championship belt in kickboxing for the coming months any way you look at it.

Pat Barry - ok people lets show some respect. Anyone writing here want to step in to the ring with him? I don't think so. The guy has a huge heart, he is Denver hometown boy. Roberson is the real deal, no pushover and a hell of fight. I'm looking forward.

Also lets see what they announce for the HW tourney.

looking at prior post of yours, you don't seem to have of a clue about kickboxing.

95%+ of the world's best kickboxers are under contract to Glory anyway, kind of impossible to put up a world class card without them.

In what world is Pat Barry a draw?? Its weird when people call any washed up guy who had a cup of coffee in the UFC a draw. GSP is a draw, Rousey is a draw, Conor a draw. Barry and Jacoby...wont gain an extra viewer.

He's just there for his name, not because he is even remotely a top Kickboxer. That's just the reality of the situation. Robertson shows more promise, so a KO over Barry at least gives another contender to the division.

He is one of the biggest draws (names) available to Glory for this event. There aren't a lot of other known names they could call up on their roster. I wonder if they could get Bob Sapp to come out of retirement. Sapp probably has more drawing power then Barry.
