Glory 24 Denver [9th Oct] - OFFICIAL THREAD

I hope Showtime can take over some of the production aspects and rid Glory of that horrific dubstep music. That was a lame trend that died years ago...

Is that really your first wish? Haha. There are probably 10 things I can think of that I hope Showtime does before worrying about whether or not they play dubstep in the background.

That's only my first wish if you completely ignore my post right before that...

sorry about my ignorance(i dont know too much about new organizations),but this showtime is the same who run a lot of shows backward k-1 and after K-1 start to fall down(2011)?

It was a good moment on kickboxing to be honest,i enjoyed a lot Its Showtime shows, especially from 2010-2012,always massive cards putting the best against each other.

Not "It's Showtime". Glory purchased the It's Showtime promotion years ago. Showtime is a premium TV network in the US like HBO. They broadcast many of the big Boxing fights.

I dont remember noticing any dubstep while watching Glory lol Considering how Euro electric music is Im surprised they havnt replaced it with some good ol American country :P They probably want intense music to get people pumped up, but MMA has already made metal its thing so they went with the next most intense.

nobody is saying it is a desirable situation, you fucking idiot. Nobody has ever said that.

Well it doesn't really matter, because i think it's a bunch of BS to begin with. But tell me JJ, since you're so knowlegeable, does Glory have any other network deals besides the one with Spike? IDK, maybe some Asian network I've never heard of before? And if not, how come?

Ya you're not going to win any arguments coming with these angles. If you don't know the answer to your own question you're out of your depth...

What kinda reasoning is that? I asked a genuine question. I'd like to know if Glory has any network deals that I haven't heard of. Is it forbidden to ask questions on a forum now?

Nvm, i'm actually surprised they have. I underestimaed Glory there for a minute. Still goes to show how little noise Glory is making though. And how unconvinient the US time slot is for Europeans. There is no live coverage over here, I have to watch a lousy stream in the middle of the night.

No, but it's a bad move on your part to ask stupid ones.

Are you under the impression that Spike is the only network showing Glory?

Yes, I kinda did for some reason there, don't know what I was thinking. I remember seeing russian/slavic broadcasts on YouTube. Istanbul was the last event broadcasted live over here. So I don't know what happened. I know Lille wasn't broadcasted live over here, so that's one network they've lost in the last couple of years. I think it was a mistake for Glory to keep focusing on the US market once the whole PPV plan fell through. I think they can have a broader audience if they come back to Europe. Start broadcasting at European time slots again and make new deals with European networks for their live feed. Might take a while to build it back up again, but I think it will be better than what they have now in the US. But that's just my opinion.

holy shit this card.

Levin is injured, Schilling is fighting Jason Wilnis and Pat Berry vs. Karl Roberson (????) will fight in the Co-Main Event.

Roberson is a New York muay thai guy, not just some MMA scrub. He also soundly beat Jerome Le Banner in his retirement fight if you disregard the ref and judges being in the bag. He most likely knocks Pat Barry out.

Man, at what point does Glory just scrap the event?

The sad thing is, the viewer pulling power (whatever little) of the card hasn't changed so long as Schilling and Berry are on it.

As much as this sucks, at least Schilling gets an easy fight after getting KTFO.

Kind of hard to get hyped over that accolade.

I guess they'll just have to try and get some of these guys over on Barry. They're hurting for competetors.

What does that have anything to do with him being good or worthy of this position on the card?

Also, just so you know, just because the guy 100 lbs lighter throws more punches, doesnt mean he wins.
