Look how small Chimaev's back and shoulders are.A lhw fighting a lw.
again, kid.
Rankings SHOULD matter.
It only does not because the UFC is a greedy bunch, and fans like you, that allows them to disregard rankings just because you are a hypocrite and have a vested interest in Getting Khamzat a title shot.
If you had a brain, you'd see that I am right. And this is not just about Khamzat, but Islam, Conor or anyone else that is jumping the line because their fans like him/her.
This does NOT benefit the sport, and every time it happens, it just reinforce this narrative that rankings doesn't matter.
are you that stupid?you sound emotional. The UFC is sports entertainment, always has been. “Fans like me” DONT dictate what Dana White does. Dana White does whatever makes him the most money. Keep crying tho, maybe he’ll hear you lmao
Gilbert was a lightweight, Khamzat could really be a middleweight. Khamzat KO's him no problem imo.Stylistically speaking Gilbert is much more of a threat than Kamaru IMO. Obviously Kamaru wanted nothing to do with Gilbert on the ground when they fought, while Gilbert is roughly comparable to Kamaru on the feet. Their defense is pretty comparable (IMO) but I think Gilbert has heavier hands, minus of course Kamaru's recent finishes which are great (including the one against Gilbert).
Anyway, my point is Khamzat is accepting the single most dangerous fight (by far IMO) for his style in all of WW. Gilbert is the only fighter in the entire division who can take away his greatest strength (his top game) and is one of the few fighters that has the power to end it at any given moment standing.
If Khamzat wins this, I don't see any potential roadblocks at WW. Crazy cajones to chase the most dangerous fight as well... I said the same when Khamzat was chasing a Maia fight when he first joined the UFC.
Do you agree?
And KO'ed stiff.Nope Usman is. Burns I could see getting Ragdolled.
Burns was KO'ed by Hooker. The size difference would be drastic.Lots of disrespect towards Burns in this thread. His only loss in his 8 last fights was to a dominant champion. Khamzat has yet to fight the quality of opponents Burns has fought.
Because he's a filled out lightweight.Where is this Gilbert Burns is tiny narrative coming from? He is a thicker guy than Lawler
Well he is.If Chimmy smeshes Burns the shertards will say "Burns is just a blown up 55er"
Colby hurt Usman multiple times in their fights, and Colby doesn't knock out anyone. HaKhamzat will knock out Burns. Usman though that's a whole different mfer. Khamzat is human like the rest of us there will be no running through Usman.
True, but he still made lightweight at one time. Then you have Khamzat that can't even make WW. It would still be a huge size difference in there. He started his career at WW. He cut down because there were too many 170s on his team. Look at him next to other WWs. He is a shorter guy but he isn't a tiny guy.View attachment 901536
Depending on who you ask Usman is probably in most people's Top 5 WW ever and he's still in his prime. Khamzat is legit but the hype is too unreal. Khamzat might even win but he's not a superhero.Colby hurt Usman multiple times in their fights, and Colby doesn't knock out anyone. Ha
No one knows if Khamzat is the truth or not, all we have to go on is what he's done to this point. Personally, I believe he's the next champ, my only question is his cardio and if he has lasting Covid effects.Depending on who you ask Usman is probably in most people's Top 5 WW ever and he's still in his prime. Khamzat is legit but the hype is too unreal. Khamzat might even win but he's not a superhero.
He missed weight at LW.True, but he still made lightweight at one time. Then you have Khamzat that can't even make WW. It would still be a huge size difference in there.
I knowHe missed weight at LW.
I said his last 8 fights. Some fighters get better, others don't.Burns was KO'ed by Hooker. The size difference would be drastic.
