Gif: Johnny Walker Brutal Finish

Johnny Walker whatever label ---- make some room cause the real deal at 205 has arrived . Me mouth dropped after that quick offensive assault on Khalil (who's no joke.) I don't want to see a contender have to come back and win 3 in a row in what seems to be thin division but who doesn't want to see Reyes vs Walker . Winner gets Bones .
Reyes handles Smith and Walker runs through Smith....just to put things in prospective.
don't wanna see him rushed to a titleshot too soon, let him take his time and do it properly, he's still developing

Wouldn't he have been DQ'd if that soccer kick landed?

Shows you how weak this sport is in the ruleset. So Dana can make that ESPN money and put fake snow in his driveway.

Sports rules aren't even a real fight, Dillashaw gets stopped as soon as he hits the ground and other guys lie there like a turtle on its back when you're not aloud to soccer kick them

Everybody knows if you were ever in a real life fight, the moment you hit the ground you'll probably be soccer kicked and stamped.

It's just a shame MMA doesn't reflect a true street fight. The ref could stop it as soon as they hit the ground instead of watching two guys perform a tug of war that never happens in real life and basically isn't real fighting like Jiu Jitsu

Brutal. I thought Ledet would expose him, props to Walker, beastly performance. However, he's still chinny as fuck and someone will expose that soon enough.

Many fighters hurt their hand in spinning backfist.

Holy crap, that kick! He got sooooo lucky he missed! Brutal finish.

Oddly enough, if familiar with my posting, one of me anthems is " whoa.....lets pump the breaks".
I just can't help myself here and I've been watching since '99.I do agree at the end of day but BUT, you'd have to figure they're going to push and promote this guy vs. a top 10-12 guy next(again- currently in a division looking for some identity outside champ,Gus) so we'll see what happens.

yes they will. just hope they someday could think a bit more longterm and actually get to have a guy they can promote over and over, who has paid his dues is and sustainable at the top, not do a quick Darren Till on him for short term interests

No, thats what happens in streetights to already unconscious people. I didn't say kicking unconscious people, nor did I say stomping on a head (or on concrete).

MMA fights have ref, street fights don't. Now I can see why the optics part was so important with people this stupid.
If you didn't start calling people stupid maybe there could have been a normal discussion

It's a low skill move that can do tons of damage way too easily.

Elbows are a low skill move that end fights prematurely because of superficial cuts and bleeding...At the least, the kicks and stomps are used to end the fight with no questions asked.

I'd rather have a definitive finish, over a superficial one...Wouldn't you?

The bonus is it would make grapplers think twice about spamming the legs.

That backfist was gorgeous, especially how he trapped the defensive arm. Can't work out if that was on purpose, but regardless, it was smooth.
He said to the Brazilian journalist that it wasn't.

You're really telling me this is a low skill move?

Are you stupid? Most street fights end up on the ground, I'd say more than 60%.
Have you ever been in a fight? Or sparred someone? Jiu-Jitsu is definitely real fighting and very applicable in real life street fight situations.

Elbows to grounded opponent, my bad for not being more specific.

Again my point stands, it opens cuts far more often than it ends fights, and those cuts can sometime lead to a cheap stoppage on a guy that was quite possibly getting the better of the matchup.

My point is, allow it all besides the eye pokes, small joint manipulation, and crotch shots. Bring it back to it's roots. So many fighters have had their careers derailed in the win/loss column because their styles are brutal and effective until they reach the bullshit that is the Unified Rules.

You don't truly know who is the best, you just know who is best at exploiting a certain ruleset...That's it.
