Gif: Johnny Walker Brutal Finish

It was insane to see him driving that sledgehammer home like he was pulling it down from Asgard itself.

Bro..ledet was rocked ..badly hurt..if that kick landed..there was a high possibility of severe injury..also if walker decided to stomp on him instead of punch for the finish like they did in pride...pretty good chance again..ledets brain will never be the same..

Sure on the street it increases the chance of death for sure..but a rocked fighter on the octagon floor aint that much of a difference ..the ring isnt a padded mattress..its a hard floor with like 2 inch padding
did you miss pride? tons of soccer kicks to the head landed and no one actually died or had "severe injuries"

And we know this how?...pride didnt exactly release injury reports..or care for that matter...

And just because no1 died there doesnt mean it hasnt happened so were else..which it has

All im saying ive watched MMA for a long time and have trained in martial arts and never have a felt the need to have stomps or headkick to floored opponents be apart of sport fighting..the onyl thing i could see is knees to the head..but the rest is just leaning too much towards death..one late stoppage with those techniques allowed and someone's not waking up

Currently in my 14th year training muay thai. You know what you signed for. Pussy.

LoL youd think someone whos trained as long as you have would know better then to call strangers pussy over the internet..ive been training for almost as long as you have in japanese jiujitsu

Give me one good reason why it should be allowed...and ill back off..and it cant be well pride had it

You can see he wasnt going for the head in that one camera angle.

Then you haven't seen a lot of street fights, case closed.
If you're in a situation where multiple people will start kicking your head once you're down, you're fucked anyway. So what does that have to do with anything?

Obviously we are talking about 1vs1 fights, not 5v1 fights where you obviously shouldn't be trying to set up a gogoplata. Neither should you pull guard in a street fight, obviously. But saying BJJ is useless in a street fight is just a noob opinion of someone who hasn't had any training or fight experience at all. I've seen a small guy pulling off a triangle on concrete before, on a bigger guy, too. Seen multiple rear-naked chokes, bulldog chokes and guillotine chokes in a street-fight context.

I grew up in a small town. We had mutual fights several times a week.

Although it starts one on one generally friends would always get involved and it wasn’t a wrestlefest ever.

I see that on the internet. Not so much in real life.

The wrestler was never the bad add in school. It was the best boxer.
As ya know. Fighting involves being punched in the face and if you haven’t. Your grappling goes
Out the window really fast. Especially when you can grab balls fingers in eyes nose etc.

Maybe I’m getting old because all I see is effeminate 20. 30 year old “men”. Who are just complete :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:s.

Absolutely, grappling goes out of the window real fast especially if you've "just" practiced for a few years. I was just arguing someone who said BJJ was completely useless in a street-fight which is quite obviously not the case since it has been effectively used in street altercations before and even american law enforcement is sometimes educated in BJJ (and wrestling).

It's just our own anecdotal evidence, anyway. I've observed a lot of streetfights that ended up on the ground in some way or another, and BJJ is certainly not useless. If you've observed lots of fights that kept standing then fair, I believe that aswell. I guess it's pretty hard to find out how many street fights exactly end up on the ground.
