It doesn't even have to be GBP involved in the score. There is ALOT of money out there in Vegas.

True, but it has happened enough in the past with Canelo for GBP to be the most likely suspect.

Round 1 or 10 to Alvarez is questionable. Both to him is being quite generous.
Wow, I was beginning to think I was the only one who scored the first for Gennady, thought something might have been wrong with me. Questionable rounds seem to always go Canelo's way. HBO commentary at the start of the fight was also atrocious and extremely biased towards Canelo, talking about GGG looking tired from Round 2 and not having any success at all, like seriously? Canelo 100% had the 2nd and 3rd though, i'm seeing everyone score all 3 first rounds for him.

Showing no wear is not a scoring criteria. Again you are trying to give ggg credit for taking shots. Thats what you call canelo CLEAN PUNCHING. also, Hoping on a scooter and leaving the scene can be called ring generalship.

This wasn't like a Floyd fight where he was controlling landing power shots , he landed a power shot to survive here and there and he still couldn't keep ggg off him

Canelo would fight good for 30 seconds then RUN the remainder of the round. Yes Canelo tagged GGG a few times good ut never followed it up and turned tail the rest of tbe round getting out fought.

It is telling that the Mexican fans were booing Canelo and cheering ggg after the decision.
Well, we know what Mexican fans like to see. The decision should rightly be boo'ed but Canelo fought well. A draw is the absolute best case scenario for him when scoring this fight.

Honestly GGG probably doesn't even give a fuck bout the decision after all the money he's making. If anything he's happy about it because now he can do it again and make double the money. Win win for all the fighters and the dumb fans oblivious to how rigged boxing is.

Or just a realist. Boxing is corrupt......to pretend we should live in an ideal world is silly. How much did they talk about the incoming robbery? How much pressure did they put on the judges before the fight? ggg camp was so naive......they should have spent last 4 weeks talking about judges and de la hoya every single day. Fuck them
It's t pretending we live in an ideal world, it's just putting blame where it belongs

If you get mugged you don't blame yourself, you blame the mugger, even if you knew it was a shitty neighborhood

lol @ all the casuals in here, pls stop talking.

You watch 1-3 boxing bouts per year and think you're expert judge, none of you know jack shit about boxing or how to judge a fight, just stop you absolute fucking cans.
What's your opinion on this fight, good sir?

How was it corrupt? meaning what do you think transpired to get 118-110?

Byrd has a history of giving Canelo bias judging decisions.

In boxing, the judges are given feeway usually to make their own decision on the match. And these decisions are usually accepted because the judges' scorecard is supposed to be respected to en extent.

however sometimes (like this fight) judges make very controversial decisions, and the AC does investigate situations in which the decision made by a judge was too strange to ignore.

based on her history and based on her scorecard, investigating some kind of corruption is not out of the ordinary.

I was seeing it as a like 8, 7, or 6 rounds for Canelo and the remaining rounds for GGG and I'm casual and unknowledgeable when it comes to boxing.

If you dont watch boxing EVER I can see how you could score some rounds that GGG won for Canelo. Canelo throws some fast flurries and makes loud noises when he punches. GGG was the aggressor. GGG was doing more damage. GGG was beating up Canelo against the ropes. He just isnt flashy. He is a bull

its not whatever, its science, the whatever part is your stupid comment
Look how overrated boxing is though, conor mcgregor had 0 boxing fights and manage to win several rounds vs mayweather. Boxing snobs are the worse.

After hearing that I was like:

But the Judges were like:

There's close to a billion dollars in economics activity surrounding these fights. Of course they're going to control the narrative as much as possible.

Honestly I had it 116-112 and 115-113 could EASILY be argued. But as Im re watching it...
118-110 just seems way off.

It rips your guts out over and over but when a fight this this comes together at last and it turns out to be a great fight , doesnt let anyone down and you are just waiting for this BS everytime. You feel like you yourself got robbed. I would strongly disagree with a close win for Canelo but there were a lot of close rounds but that 118-110 is insanity. Giving GGG only the 4th and the 7th? I had GGG by a few rounds like 95% of the watching world.

It's boxing, at this point anything is possible, and even that ....... shouldn't be a surprise. Yeah that person NEEDS to be fired, and blackballed from judging FOREVER.

Insane. It's fortunate that her incompetence didn't alter the outcome! Don't overlook how awful 118-110 is just because of that.

Democrats stole NH with illegal votes! Just because the good guy still won doesn't make it irrelevant.

This is why I became a MMA fan, No fucking way was a 114 to 114 let alone aldele's "I m drunk" score. Shit was fixed to do over. Boxing is the most corrupted sport on the planet.

PS I'm Mexican saying this. And fuck floyd ducking winky and most fighters in prime. 50-0 Another corrupted result. cya later. much later.
