GGG vs. Canelo, Who Won?

Just because GGG was coming forward a lot doesn't mean he was landing a lot. He landed more jabs but Canelo landed more clean and obvious power punches

I have no problem with these statements, but was that the case every single round? GGG was consistent throughout the fight landing decently, nothing big. Canelo landed big, clean shots in spurts and was almost 100% defensive in a few of those middle rounds. I'm not even paying attention to GGG's pressure and aggressiveness because it's not like Canelo didn't want that, that's not what wins rounds unless absolutely nothing is thrown.

Round 1 or 10 to Alvarez is questionable. Both to him is being quite generous.

1-3 are all questionable, and round 10 was def a GGG round. 5 punches at the start do not win a round.

Canelo would fight good for 30 seconds then RUN the remainder of the round. Yes Canelo tagged GGG a few times good ut never followed it up and turned tail the rest of tbe round getting out fought.

It is telling that the Mexican fans were booing Canelo and cheering ggg after the decision.

Good fight. I had it for GGG but I can see scoring a draw as justifiable. Both men fought well.

A rematch obviously favours Canelo as the younger man.

I had a feeling this would happen to GGG as comeuppance for the Daniels decision.

Think about it- how many people would have bet on a draw... I lost money as did the majority of those that bet on this fight. In fact the only ones that won are the bookies who will not have to pay out but to a few punters...

118 wasn't for bookies, it was because they are on the payroll. Just look at the Khan vs Alvarez fight: Byrd was likely the only person on the planet that had Alvarez up before the KO.
