genuine good guys in mma.

I've made a total dick of myself infront of Carlos Condit not once but twice. I was at the expo last year and was passing by Carloses line and handed him something to sign without actually going through his line, he signed it to be nice and the usher came up and started getting in his ear about how he needs to focus on the line. He looked over at me with that "you fucker" look on his face.

Well later I was with my girlfriends son and we saw Carlos outside the Mandalay pool I went to introduce my girlfriends son to Carlos and when Carlos put his hand out to shake the hand of a ten year old I nervously intercepted his handshake, then we all stood there awkwardly for the next 10 seconds and I said thank you and we split. Some pretty embarassing shit.

Lol is this true? Awesome!

Shogun and Chael are 2 of the nicest guys I've ever met anywhere.

Tito and Melvin Guilliard are dicks. Was on an elevator with Guilliard and he was cussing 1 of his managers for messing up his breakfast order.

I met BJ Penn, Jon Fitch, Kyle Noke and G-Sot when they were doing promotion tours in Melbourne.

The promoters said NO PHOTOS with the fighters so the line can keep moving.
When I got up to BJ Penn, he got out of his chair and shook my hand, asking how I was. I was kinda caught off guard at how nice and easy going he was, and I was worried that the promoter was gonna tell me off to keep moving, but instead, BJ asked the promoter to take a photo of us together!! Super nice guy!!

Kyle Noke was nice too, he smiled and had a quick chat with me..

But..
Jon and Georgy.... just glared at me haha.. and they seem to just sit in their chair and glared at other people too~ not the friendliest from my experience.

But yea BJ and Kyle, friendly as.

Reminds me of video of Wand, they also were trying to say no pictures and move people along, this was pretty awesome i thought

Met a bunch of Fighters @ UFC 168, everyone was cool but Matt Serra stood out as the most down to earth/friendly.

Met Tito and he was really nice and down to earth. Also saw Scott Smith at the gym a few years back chatting with people. I was eavesdropping and he seemed nice as well.

met junior dos santos, very nice and friendly guy. took photos and talked with literally hundreds of fans individually without taking a break and didnt leave until he saw every last fan. great person.

That made me laugh, thanks. You went full spaghetti on him.
Hopefully you won't throw up on his shoes next time you meet.

I had a couple of awkard moments in Germany, before UFC 99.
Probably not as funny as yours, because you really had to be there, but me and my brother (who was a pro kick-boxer under "Dirty" Bob Schriber, who was cornering Stephan Struve that night) but doesn't really care about MMA personalities and stopped watching MMA after PRIDE folded, not the type to browse Sherdog if you get me) were walking around town killing time before some of my friends joined us (my brother didn't know them).

Well, we randomly bumped into Marcus Davis, I was happy, shook his hands, he was by himself and all smiles, we started chatting and for some reason my brother was under the impression that he was a friend of mine that we were supposed to meet, so he was WAY to friendly with him, tried to pass him a joint (hey he lives in Holland, it's normal shit for him) and Marcus seemed really puzzled, said "hu no thanks", I then asked for a picture, he was of course happy to do so, and we asked my brother to take the pic.
He then froze "wait, who dat guy?"
"DUDE it's Marcus Davis!"
"oh... (he obviously didn't who who he was but tried to be polite) you fighting tonight?"
I was blushing like a chick, told him to shut up, thanked a puzzled Davis and told him good luck for tonight.

Man that embarrassed me.

Later we passed by a restaurant and heard "Ok, bon appetit!". It was Cheick Kongo eating in a restaurant with his crew, and since my brother and I are fluent in French, we decided to wave and see, since we didn't want to bother him while he was eating... well let's just say that it didn't go as planned =__=

Plenty of crazy stuff happened that night, "Dirty" Bob got us cage-side seats when we paid for shitty cheap seats, oh fuck I just remember, it was my brother who told Rich Franklin that his friend and teammate Tim Sylvia got KO'd by Ray Mercier (it happened at the same time as the UFC event, we were talking to Rich (a really good guy, was happy even thought everybody booed him because the Wandy decision seemed bad when watching live, when I watched it again on DVD it didn't seem as bad), and my brother was checking his phone "HOLY SHIT SYLVIA GOT KTFO'd in 5 seconds HAHA what the hell???!!!!"

Rich looked really bummed, man I felt like shit :icon_conf

Rich ace franklin is a super nice guy. Very blue collar, genuinely a nice person. Still had the same old jeep he had when he was a teacher and this was 2009 or 2010

Hunt was cool.

I think he talked more to me then he ever has to Rogan.

Maia
Shogun
Rashad
Chan Sung Jung
Machida

All seem to be genuinely good human beings.

GSP
Weidman
Gustafsson
Chael Sonnen (Off-TV persona)
Wand (When not mad at Chael)
Rashad

Chael was super nice when I met him.
Talked to JDS shortly when I saw him at a Blazer game. He was nice as well.
Pat Healy is a nice guy as well.

I may be the only Clay Guida fan left on Sherdog.

Fights aside I have a friend who has trained with him that said he is just an incredibly nice person. He also donated a serious amount of money to Illinois Highschool Association to help keep and sustain there high school and youth wrestling programs.

I was just wondering which mma stars you guys may have met that were top blokes. Or if you met any that were not so good?
Ill start -
Ive done seminars with Chris Haseman and Michael Bisping.
Both were down to earth blokes but after all Id heard about bisping I was a little surprised to find out he is a really good bloke easy to talk to and helpful in training.
Ive also trained a few months a Tiger muay thai with roger huerta and brian embersol, both guys are absolute legends!
Most recently I travelled to Sweden and trained at All Stars gym getting the chance to meet and train with Gus, he is a bloody legend too! In fact the entire gym was very accommodating. Everyone was friendly and the quality of training was great!

Matt Brown

There are so many.

i'd say from my personal experience. Cub Swanson, Ian McCall, GSP, Chad Mender, Faber, Rockhold just to name a few.
