I know i'm going to end up on Rory. By fight time WB will be at least -150, and i'm not betting against Rory as a dog. Hes a completely different stylistic matchup than Hendricks and Ellenberger, this fight won't be easy for WB.

Man, I might have to rock with you on this. The WB +110 opener was a decent price and all, but it wasn't that good to lock up money for 3-4 months. If Rory is anywhere near +150 around fight time, I'll most likely play him

I have 6u on WB now just because I liked the opener and do plan to hedge out some or all of it. I am not sure who I like as a striaght pick.

I favour WB in the first few rounds when he is fresh but if Rory can drag it out and make it messy then he has a good shot. The more wrestling and clinching that happens will be good for Rory. If Rory lets WB make it a rangey kickboxing technical fight then Rory will lose.

As a fan this is my most anticipated fight and if anything I would like to freeroll it or lb it. This will end up being very close me thinks.

you need to give it a % to answer your own question

Imo 50-60%
But WB is so hot right now

So I need your opinion at what odd would u consider to bet for Rory if most fans anticipate WB to win this fight ?

I cap WB at about -140 maybe. I bet him at +110. If odds go nuts either way I'll add to WB or flip and bet Rory (or just freeroll one way or the other and take a tiny profit).

But straight up I do like Wonderboy. I'd say right he's the legit best striker in MMA. Not saying it can't be argued there's others in the conversation, but is there anyone you'd immediately say is better with no hesitation? He has range, speed, timing, AND power. Rory is a solid striker but WB is at a different level. Plus Rory had his nose straight up BLOWN up by Robbie in his last fight. That could potentially play a psychological part in this fight. Probably not, but it could.

Obviously Rory is the more proven, better grappler. No question. BUT...Wonderboy really looks like one of those guys who was elite in one area coming into the sport and understands the work needed to round out his game and is doing what he needs to. The big leaps in his game I think are happening now in terms of his tdd and keeping fights where he wants them.

I have a big bet on WB at +130 and i will not be hedging. Rory's last fight was brutal potential career changer. He is going to be worried about getting whacked on his nose theres no way he wont be psychologically affected and that is going to make him hesitant. Rory has been dropped by Lawlor in both fights and suffered a pretty brutal r3 beatdown against Condit. I do believe this will all have taken a toll on him and i dont see why WB cant take him out. This is a very tough comeback fight for Rory id have liked him to have had an easier fight to rebuild his confidence.

About damn time... New York has FINALLY legalized MMA!
From 430 - 630 watched the assembly meeting and it was the whackiest shit i've ever seen

Comparing it to gay porn, calling Forrest Griffin gay, saying its bareknuckle, comparing it to slavery, saying all the athletes are domestic abusers. I can't make this shit up.

EDIT how could I forget the best part. One of the old ladies against it criticized the fans, and then quoted a tweet she received from the notorious troll Edmond account lol

They literally said all those things? What a bunch of ignorant idiots.

I'm definitely going to some events that are held anywhere in southern NY besides Madison Square Garden. The tickets will probably be ridiculous there. I'd rather go to the Barclays Center in Brooklyn if the tickets are a lot cheaper, which I assume

Yes they did. It was both incredibly hilarious and incredibly frustrating at the same time.

I imagine i'll be going to any event held in NY lol except the more northern ones where its cold as fuck unless its over the summer.

This is extra special news to me as a stoner since Prudential in NJ is literally the only arena i've ever been to without a place you can toke :D

if anyone KNEW which way the line would move right now, he'd be making $ on that knowledge.. i do not. i got a bet in on my friend's unibet account at wonderboy +150, but i did that because i knew it'd even out. now that it's at evens, i'm not sure.

if the fight were to happen TODAY, and you're 50-60 % sure rory wins, then you already have value (depending on your personal thresholds) at +100

Emil Weber Meek - Rousimar Palhares up on betsafe

4.75 (+375) 1.16

fight goes the distance +550, 6.5

paul harris itd 1.25

Emil better bring his wheelchair

^holy shit, wtf kinda of fight is that???
palhares 20+++ units for sure

It's going to be an interest free loan because that fight won't happen.

that'd be SO weird to see manny be bigger than someone, lol! manny's what, 5'4? dodson 5'3? i mean, obviously manny's fought 155 (tuf) etc.. i actually don't expect the size difference to be that huge. for sure manny would be dog, yea

i wouldn't wanna lay -200 on that chick fight on either side, personally

I'm actually hoping Dodson's line isn't too inflated. What's Manny's path to victory - lnp for three rounds? He is not holding Dodson down for three rounds and as Ez said, Dodson will have a huge speed advantage and is the much better striker. I'm expecting Dodson around -300.

I'd have to take manny by dec if dodson opened that price, Im interested on how dodson's cardio will hold up against the larger guy. I still think he wins but was disappointed in his performance against mm, and from what I remember dodson looked a lot less shredded in that fight than he used to, so that could be a factor in this fight too if you catch my drift. the size advantage while not as big as ppl think could still make a difference, also interested to see how dodson's power will transfer at this weight. I'd definitely be looking to hedge dodson somehow at a later date

I'm on the Dodson train for that fight. Manny isn't going to be able to grapple him, and on the feet he'll be outclassed. If he is as juiced as I think he'll be, i'll have my eyes on Dodson by dec. Hes got power, but not as much as Joe Rogan would lead you to believe, and Manny hasn't been finished since his fight vs Aldo.

Manny's only chance in that fight is a looping haymaker IMO. The speed difference is so large not only in footwork, but also hand speed. I think Dodson will finish him.

Manny is not very good he's just a strong tough guy. There is no way he can hold Dodson down to win a decision over three rounds. He will be soundly out struck the speed difference will be the key here.
