I know not everyone watches TUF anymore, but putting 125 pound champions from all over the world in a 16-man tournament for a chance to to fight Demetrious Johnson for the UFC flyweight belt seems like a lot of fun:

Pantoja will win (maybe Ogikubo) and then get smoked by DJ. But a little something different, I can get behind the premise. Not like that division is loaded with contenders

jesus i put £200 on condit at those crazy odds, returns £630. i definitely favour him in a 5 round fight, praying they don't cancel it. 27th of aug is my birthday, would be a nice hit.

I dont think euro books have ever pulled odds when a fight chages from 3 to 5 rounds. Really like Condit now will be placing a bet but not big. Think if maia wins r1 and r2 lb will be where the money is at.

Condit-Maia moved to main event in UFC Vancouver. Now a 5 round fight so Condit has a HUGE advantage. Smashing him at dog odds before he shifts to favorite.

Don't mind at all. Ufc 202 still super stacked. This is very deserving of main event and 5 rounds.

It's also more evidence that the ufc doesn't want maia to get near their belt.

Exactly i might actually reserve this fight for lb only. Imagine Condit's odds after r1 let's hope they leave the apprentice in charge that night!

i'm not entirely disagreeing with you, but i just wanted to point out: tired maia might still be able to win the 3rd, maybe even the 4th.

look at last fight... he looked pretty gassed going into the 3rd.. and still managed the td. not only that, he actually got a freakin tap in that round.

There is always new talent out there. Back in Ronda Rousey's heyday everyone thought she was GOAT and unbeatable. It will be really amazing if someone comes out of the woodwork to crush DJ.

Seems like a great idea.

PS. No idea what to do now on Maia/Condit since it is 5 rounds.

PPS. Maia/Condit is in Vancouver (my home) should I go? I have never been to a UFC event and not sure if it is worth the money. Conventional wisdom seems to be that going to a show once in your life is a good idea....

I prefer watching at home but its good to go every so often.

OK so I just got off the ticketmaster website as pre-sale tickets just went up a few mins ago....cheapest tickets I could find are 195 ea. - sorry I am just too damn cheap to pay that.

I would rather gamble that shit

195? Damn idk the Canadian-US Dollar exchange rate but that does seem pricey.

Forgot to mention how this would've been a great card to be at in person for livebetting. You get to see fighters (specifically Maia) in their corner during commercials which bookies can't even see, giving you the best idea of how gassed someone is getting.

You don't really get the best look at the fighters if you are at the fight, unless you are pretty much first row and unobstructed. Plus in some arenas the phone signal is very poor.
