You don't really get the best look at the fighters if you are at the fight, unless you are pretty much first row and unobstructed. Plus in some arenas the phone signal is very poor.

Yeah even if I went to the show I would probably just take it in with friends and not really focus on LB.

Maybe depends on the arena, but everytime i've gone you can see the fight fine. Obviously not as good as a TV, but the big screens are helpful. Also never had a problem with phone signal.

Interesting way to promote a fight. Can't say I hate the idea of Ilima MacFarlane making out with Anastasia Yankova.

"I’m not really sure who would further my claim for a title shot, but I think a win over Anastasia would definitely further my chances of making out with her,” MacFarlane said. “I’m not sure if my desire to fight her has more to do with my hopes for a title shot, or a hidden sexual tension I feel between us. Either way, I’m game.”

Wouldn't be surprised if slimy Bellator told her to say this. A quick look at Bellator's women roster reveals a bunch amateurs that are just really hot

Yeah, it's a no lose situation for Bellator here. It's super hot if Ilima really wants to kiss Anastasia, medium hot if she came up with this on her own as a promotional gimmick, and mildly hot if she was told to say it and went along with it. And even though I know I'm being pandered to either way, I'm still more interested to see this fight than I was before, lol.

If they end up "north south" then we know Bellator is rigged...

Anyone going to UFC in Salt Lake City(august 6th)?

The turnout cannot be too big as it's a mormon town/ state and they have to go to church in the morning after. The last time they tried to go to SLC they booked a Sunday and it was canceled shortly after.

I'll be in town and may go if I can cop cheap tickets last minute.

What you guys think assuming it stays near the same as it gets closers Mcgregor at -135 and diaz at +115
I'm taking diaz and betting on a ko for the 4.0
Also taking the parley of Cody no love, cerrone, and diaz.
What's your money gonna be on ufc 202

Diaz at dog odds is a steal. I'm going big on Rick Story too, horrible matchup for Cerrone. He can pressure, cut off the cage, hits the body, starts strong, wrestles - all things that give Cerrone fits.

I can't believe Diaz is an underdog AGAIN. +115 I love it.
Also I wanna bet Diaz via tko +600 on unibet.
I think this time he will tko him in 3rd maybe in 4th round.
Here comes the money.

Holy crap could not disagree more on Story. Sure he'll come forward, but his striking is predictable and Cerrone is faster and has looked like a killer at 170. And he didn't start slow against either Brazilian Cowboy or Cote in his last 2 fights. Wrestling doesn't give Cerrone fits, he's improved his wrestling dramatically and if Story does take Cowboy down then he gets to deal with Cerrone's elite MMA guard.

I doubted Cerrone vs Cote and paid the price. That's the last time I bet against him other than if he's fighting the elite guys. And Story is solid but not elite. I don't know the last time Cerrone lost to a guy who wasn't a legit top 5 type fighter.

Edit: But I'm on board with Diaz. On that I agree 100%. Conor relies on stopping power and dominating the striking where he can overwhelm. He hit Diaz with clean shots and Nate ate them and smiled. So not sure how Conor finds another path to victory here.

yeah i also really like cerrone here, only thing that gives me pause is rick story must walk around close to 200 pounds and cerrone was apparently 176 when he fought cote. with that size advantage it may help story's wrestle/clinch heavy gameplan. still think cerrone has what it takes to deal with story's pressure.

hey guys, serious question. for a long time now i've been doing well at mma betting, but gambling on other sports is destroying my profits. now i know the answer sounds obvious, but i've tried to religiously stick to mma but i keep getting sucked back in time and time again.

most recently, the fucking euro soccer tournament (i hate soccer) was like putting a crackhead in a crack house. 3 games on every day and before i know it i'm wagering on baseball (which i suck at). if anyone else has had the same problem and managed to beat it, would love to know.

i think i gamble when i'm stressed, which is all the time. either way, here we go again with the 1000th attempt to quit playing other sports.

For me it just came to discipline over time. When I first got serious about betting I had money wagered everyday, spent awhile as tennis biggest fan (only good thing to come out of this was learning I actually like tennis), and had the same problem. I would just slowly but surely decrease my betting habit until I'm at where I am now where I can just wait for mma. Still bet on bullshit on the rare bored occasion, but recognizing the problem is half the battle. Now just have to take the steps to get to where you wanna be which is sticking to mma. No need to go cold turkey maybe try my route and climb down the ladder slowly.

I don't think you're stressed because your gambling but rather your gambling because your stressed you lost money and so in order to win your money back you bet on other sport. More than anything, the most important skill in gambling is knowing when to bet and having the patience to not bet. I always get the itches to bet other sports but I don't because I know Ill do much better in MMA. Ill tail reputable members like BT in boxing because I know they know more about the sport than I. Consistency, patience and discipline are your friends. It will take a bit to get used to but you'll get used to it.

I'm not sold on Cerrone against solid fighters at all at WW. Cote accepts his opponents distance and doesn't really favor any position in the cage, while Story will be pressuring the whole fight and looking to back Cerrone up. I had a big lean on Story against Saffeidine and I think Tarec was a more dangerous fight for him than Cerrone. Cerrone doesn't have the jab or boxing ability to keep his opponent off him if they try to come forward, and his distance control isn't very good. He doesn't have anything to prevent you from crowding him except for his switch knees, which I don't think will be enough. He's improved his offensive wrestling, but I still think Story will be able to hit a few takedowns and rough him up against the cage.

Same here. Had to take Story at +195 considering that I still think pressure fighters are Cerrones weakness and Story is really really good at getting inside and doing damage both in the clinch and on the ground.
